By 7 pm, I was ready. I had rushed through my date outfit. I had pulled on my favorite high waist jeans paired with a tee and a black leather jacket. I had denied Amber's repeated requests to help me pick up a suitable outfit , successfully making her so mad at me that she hung up the call.

Taking Jenna's advice, I stepped out of the house in boots. I stood in front of the gate , gazing at the sky. It looked grim, with dark patches of cloud covering the Moon every now and then. The wind had dropped and not a single branch was seen swaying. But the weather was least of my worries. I was tensed about the date. No I wasn't planning on impressing Dylan, I was rather thinking of ways to keep him at the bay and not let any kind of physical contact between us.

I was pulled away from my delusion, when a black sedan came to a stop in front of me. The windows rolled down and a grinning driver got down.

"I like punctuality, Kent," Dylan said appraising me. "And I like how our minds think the same things. Look! We match!" He pointed at me and back at him.

All I could do was stand silent, finding myself unable to mirror his excitement that was radiating out from him. He took my hand and directed me to the passenger's seat. He strapped me , brushing his fingers on my collarbone and hair.

Those are harmless touches, Celestia. My subconscious tried to snuff out the panic in me.

I watched him enter the car smoothly and fumble with the switches. The car purred when he turned on the ignition and eased it into the traffic. His car smelt of strong cologne that made me dizzy . There was faint smell of something else that I couldn't place my finger on.

Suddenly Dylan stretched his hand towards me, making me flinch. He patted my hand and said , "I'm glad you wore this. For what I have on my mind..." He trailed off , flashing one of his megawatt smiles.

"W...What do you have on your mind?" Finally! I could speak.

His eyes were dancing with excitement as he shook his head.

I turned away to look out of the window. The shops and lights were being replaced by trees, trees and trees as the car sped out of the town. Now I was really starting to panic.I shifted in my seat, tensed. Where was he taking me ? Can't we just go to a mall or movie?

"Jeez, Kent. I'm not planning to murder you and bury your body in the mountains. I promise. Stop looking like that. Chill okay? You are gonna have a lot of fun," Dylan said. He must have felt the tension in the air.

"Trust me," he pleaded.

I looked at him. He had parked his car in the middle of nowhere. His face was illuminated by night light and I was suddenly reminded of Alec.

Alec. He have to reveal so many things. Stepping out, I could see we were in the woods. I could make out the dark silhouette of a mountain in front of us.

"We'll be going there," Dylan pointed at the mountain."It's a hill. I thought we could try to guess the constellations." He looked at me shyly.

"How romantic," I commented. "And how saddening that the clouds won't let us."

"You sure ? Why Kent, I see the sky clear, " he said amused and pointed at the sky.

No way. I looked up. Surely the sky was clear. The forest floor was washed by the light from the full moon. I shivered. This forest was eerie.

"Come now." Dylan was holding what appeared to be a rug and a basket. I shot a curious look at him and he smiled.

The walk took us twenty minutes. But it was worth. The wind was little strong here, fanning my hair and sending the rug flying each time Dylan tried to put it.
