Anika ran to her small house as she was sobbing her eyes out. Her neck has the filthy nail prints ,her hair still messy and filled with sand grains , her dupatta was missing and her dress is wet from the wet sand and she feels the sand gains all over her body , but that was not the worst thing she have in her from this unfortunate night , the worst was that she still feel his teeth that chewed on her hair , She still remember his breath smell that filled with liquor as he sniffed her neck , his animal touch that held on her as if she is his prey ...what could have happened next ?
she wiped her tears with the back of her hand and ran as fast as she can towards her house ...yes , her steps were fast but not faster than her heart beats that just wanted a kind heart but apparently this was too much to ask... kindness wasn't an option in Anika life and she knows that suffering is yet to come ..!
but as she running thinking of how cruel this night was , she remembered the only ray of light she met by coincidence , the closest thing to kindness she felt in years..and it was the boy with the blue eyes and black hair who saved her and probably put himself in trouble
she stopped in her place and looked behind her as if she expecting to see him and she wondered if he is going to be okay ?she really hope he will
she continued her way till she reached to her small home at the end of the village that she is sharing with her bhai (elder brother) and her bhabhi( elder brother 's wife) and she saw her bhabhi standing on the entry with anger on her face on how late the time is !! Anika took a deep breath and then went towards the door and the minute her bhabhi saw her she said ..
bhabhi: ANIKA , LOOK WHAT IS THE TIME NOW...
but she stopped seeing Anika appearance , as Anika swallowed and looked at her with wide eyes then touched her messy hair and entered through the door but the minute she passed by her she grabbed her by her hair and Anika gasped in shock but a tight slap was enough to shut her up. she fell on the ground and closed her eyes hard trying to get used on the pain that wasn't really new to her and she said in low tone ..
Anika: Bhabhi... I did nothing wrong I swear...you don't understand (then she took a deep breath and said) just let me explain to you what happened before telling bhai , he wont understand!!
Bhabhi: what to understand ? that you finally able to filth your brother honor? Why you look like that ha? Is it that bas***d Surya?
Anika shake her head no as her bhabhi screamed in anger..
Bhabhi :Rudra ,WAKE UP AND ,COME SEE YOUR DEAR SISTER , COME SEE WHAT SHE DID TO US..RUDRA
Rudra her elder brother , came running out of his room still a bit sleepy but seeing Anika who was still sitting on the ground looking down with wide eyes , he froze in his place and said shocked
Rudra : Anika ?
Bhabhi : she came like that from outside in this hour after she met surya behind your back , what will the village say about you ?how can we raise our head infront of surya family after what she did with him..that of course if he still want to marry her
Anika shake her head and said : bhai ..listen to me for once ..its not..
Rudra :SHUT UP
and he grabbed her from her arm harshly and pulled her up and looked at her from tip to toes then pulled her hair in iron grip as whimpered in pain looking at his eyes that matched hers ,not surprised from his action...pain was nothing new to her since her parents died when she was 12 and her brother married this witch and her torture was only the thing they both agree on ..yet when he beats her or become harsh on her she cant help but look to his eyes and search for the kindness and love he once had for her but lost , he took her from her though by slapping her twice and she fall on the floor and was only supported by his grip on her arm that he raised her again and looked at her teary eyes then wiped the drop of blood that came from between her lips with his hand and she just closed her eyes
