Your world is blooming with color and light

I hope and pray that one day I might seem just as bright

Whispering sweet nothings into your ears during the dark night

You tell me my voice sounds purple, that you don't like peanut butter because it tastes much too orange

Y's personality is shy and introverted

Its color is yellow

In comparison to yours, my world seems so dull and mellow

Maroon is smooth, and the name Merlin is a deep, stormy, blue

Your eyes are a wonderfully light blue and green concoction

With flecks of gold sprinkled throughout

You send me messages of withdrawal and grievance

From hair dye to your parents and what they have put you through

What a petty and sorrowful dance this life is

You've brought so many colors into my world when it had never seemed so dull and characterless

I don't want to lose you

I can't lose you and your colors

The brilliance, and luminosity they have given me

So please, please, please

I'll beg of you on my hands and knees,

Don't let your endless spectrum of lights fade away

Aaah my first poem completed for this book ! ! !

I'm super excited to write some more poems!

By the way, if you don't know about synesthesia, I highly suggest doing some research on it! It's a pretty interesting subject to study up on too if you have some time to kill!
