Prologue

(this is some background shit to help prep the oncoming chapters)

Crimson shore was like any other beach at that time, as it had small plants that swayed in the wind and a nice, cool breeze; However, jetsam containing bones trickled along the coastline, and the sand was blood red.

Its been widely accepted that the sand absorbed its red color from all the bloodshed that happened on this beach. The bloodshed could have been from mostly men or mostly ghouls, either way, the beach basked in it.

Now, with this beach having such violent background, many other groups have shied away from settling here.

However, that wasnt the case for Harry Styles and his group, for Harry knew this was the best campground.

The ghoul blood would deter the other ghouls from attacking, since they could sense when one of it's kind had died.

At first, some members of the group had thought Harry had gone crazy for wanting to settle on Crimson shore, but their fears dissipated after the absence of feral ghouls in about two weeks.

One of the group members that stayed the most loyal to Harry was Niall, or 'Bear' as Harry called him. The name stemmed from Niall's diet when Harry first met him; it only consisted of fish and blueberries but never red berries that grew by the shore.

Niall, in return, called Harry 'Doc' since Harry had an abundant supply of medical equipment and medicines

Niall was the most recent of the group, although there was hardly any awkwardness or suspicions about him.

Jenny, Milly, and Smile welcomed him with warm arms, and he immediately became one of their friends and Harry's assistant.

Harry's assistant was mainly a glorified name for a group scavenger. Niall would go out, with his gas mask and pistol to collect supplies that Harry needed for his ongoing experiments to find a 'cure' or at least 'treatment' for the feral ghouls.

Jenny had the job to 'prepare' the specimens; Milly had the job to record the data alongside Harry and be his shadow (which is more like an assistant than being a scavenger, but Harry preferred Niall over Milly); and Smile had the job to be on look out for any feral ghouls that were attacking.

Harry knew no ghouls would attack, and he was considering giving Smile the job to collect the ghouls, but he decided against it since Smile was mute and could not scream for help.

Together, this group made up Diamond Co., which was 'a team dedicated to rejuvenate the human kind' as Harry said. Although, he claimed he didn't make that slogan up, there was a team he worked with before his own, but they disbanded.

Harry would not go into detail as to why the split up, only assuring that he was much better now with his loyal crew, even if they did mess up a couple times.

Harry was sure he and his team were going to find the cure to feral ghouls; He knew exactly how to make the serum, he just had to test it.

However, he didn't know that the company and his life would be in danger, and his most recent team member would be the only one who could save them.
