Connor Rose woke up to his screeching alarm that wouldn't let him get a decent amount of sleep.
"GET UP CONNOR WE'RE LEAVING IN TEN MINUTES!" An even more annoying voice screams through his door.
Groaning in frustration, Connor unwilling rolls out of bed, when the sudden realization hits him.
It was Sunday.
He was applying for a job today.
Shit.
He ran to the bathroom to take a leak and then brush his teeth while throwing some clothes on at the same time.
He ran down the stairs, two steps at a time nearly tripping over a sleeping Angel who mewed in distaste.
He grabbed a waffle off the stack on the kitchen table and ran out the door to where his sisters were waiting.
"Gee Connor, you take longer then Karla and I do put together," Erin says mockingly.
"Yeah well, I can't forget to put on my make-up, straighten my hair and sing in the shower for 50 minutes," Connor replies, climbing into the back of the car.
Karla and Erin were twins, and they looked exactly alike, when they were younger they went through a phase where they dressed exactly alike and confused many. They both have brown eyes, but if you knew them well enough, you'd know Erin's were a shade lighter. They both had the same chocolate-brown hair, expect now Karla wore hers short, jus below her chin and Erin's hit around mid-back.
Erins' hair was pulled back into some intricate braid. They had small noses and big, round eyes that captured the beauty in everything.
Connor on the other hand, had slightly lighter hair and dark brown eyes. He wore contacts with the occasional glasses at times. He was taller then both of them even though they were a good 4 years older then him.
"You got this lil bro," Karla says grinning, looking back at him through the mirror.
"Yeah, it's not like I got fired from my other job," Connor says, sighing.
"Hey it's not your fault, they didn't understand what was going on and you needed time off. Plus they has sucky service and by firing you their service was cut even lower," Erin says.
"Are you guys leaving again?" Connor asks abruptly.
"C'mon C, you want us to leave so soon?" Karla laughs.
"No, actually the opposite," Connor says quietly.
They both give each other a look, "the twin look" we once labeled it. Honestly, he swore they were telepathic.
"Actually yes...," Erin says hesitantly.
"We...we were planning on leaving today actually....we were gonna tell you, we just never got the chance," Karla finishes off lamely.
"When?" Connor asks.
"Later tonight. Connor we love you though. Mom and Dad, do too. They'll still be here," Erin says reassuringly.
"I know," he says staring out the window.
"We always come back, you know that. We sound like bums when we tell others we still live with our parents." Karla says laughing.
"Yeah but you only stay no longer then a week before you leave again," He replies.
"We will never forget you Connor. You are our brother and our best friend. We will always protect you," Karla says softly.
