Chapter III
The New Guy Is Cute, Wait What
Rose's Pov
When we got to my room, I turned to Alec and said, "Thank you for listening to me ramble."
"That's fine, it was kinda cute," he replies, once again blushing.
We were silent for a while until he turned to me and lightly pecked my cheek, "Goodnight Rose." And with that he walked down the hall, leaving me flabbergasted, standing outside my door looking after him.
I can't stop playing last night in my head. I mean he's cute, but I can't let him get in the way of my training, or else that would be a nightmare.
I walk into the kitchen, ya know, to get some breakfast, and there he is standing with the fridge door open looking very cute with his hair all messed up from the night before. I can't let my head get this messed up over a guy that I just met.
After getting over myself and shaking these thoughts from my mind, I went over and said my good mornings to the people that were in the kitchen - my dad, Sophie, Alec, and another dude with dirty blonde hair.
"I don't believe that we have met before, my name is James Carstairs. I am Alec's parabatai" he told me.
"I have a question for you, are you related to Tessa Gray and Jem Carstairs?" I asked.
"Yes they are my adoptive parents," he replied sadly.
"I should get going. Goodbye." I left the kitchen and went down the hall to the training room. I had forgotten my breakfast. I dismissed my growling stomach and went straight to the punching bag. I may be tiny, but I pack a powerful punch.
Once my hand hit the bag, it swung almost to the ground. I was so focused on beating this bag up that I didn't hear the door open.
James and Alec stood in the doorway, their mouths agape, watching, no more like staring, at me.
I turned and said, "Staring isn't very nice gentleman."
