Jerry picked me up from school and I avoided looking at him because if he saw me cry he would know something is wrong. Once I got home I went to the kitchen and secretly got a knife. I went upstairs and yelled "I'M GONNA DO HOMEWORK GUYS!" Just in case I locked the door to make sure no one came in. I started crying. I hate my life. Ben and Jerry (not the time but still 🍦) will bring me back to the center again like everyone does. Once everyone finds out my parents are gay I'll be bullied forever. I suddenly had a flashback. *old Jamie back at the adoption center* "Gina what are you doing with that knife?" Gina ignored me. She started cutting herself. When I saw the the blood dripping down her arms I started crying in terror. "GINA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING! PLEASE STOP!" She didn't listen...Every night she cut. I didn't understand. Was it because she was made fun of? She always acted like if she didn't care. Was it because she was never adopted? She said she hated being adopted. Was it because most of her friends were adopted and happy. She still had me. She was like a sister to me. She was like a sister to all of us. We loved her. And she died because of her cuts. Her last words were "When in doubt cut" and now I understand. *Present Jamie* I was scared but I did it anyway. I started cutting. It hurt but felt good at the same time. So I kept on going.
