"Travis......" I looked down on the boy. The boy that was my oldest friend. The boy that knew my secret. The boy that was born to kill me.
He looked up, considering I didn't even knock. His green eyes were shinning, his mouth open because he was just about to take a bite of bacon. His mouth closed abruptly and turned into a grin.
"Aph! Hey, i showed up yesterday but they said it was your... day. I figured you would hear about me showin 'up but not this early." Travis complained. I just laughed.
"Ahahaha, look Travis, i need your help with something."He looks at me quizickly, then with with shock."Uh, yea, the town knowns. it wasnt as welcoming as you and i had fantisized." I scrached the back only neck. His eyes went dark and he huggged me wordless. I darkly chuckled and hugged him back.
"What do you need Jess? Tell me and ill help, ill always help." Hugging me just a little tighter.
I laugh just a little. "I just need you to help me with explaining it to them. I need to tell my story and, I know there are parts where I will need you to step in, finish the story, answer the questions. Can you do that for me?" I ask, pushing him back far enough to look up into his eyes.
Like, way up.
Like, wayyyyyyyyy up.
You see, he's considered tall to normal people. Now compare that to me. He is a fucking. Giant.
Anyway, he looks back down at me gives me a closed eye smile. " Of course. It the least I can do." I smiled back and re-hugged him, mybe a bit to tightly for a human. "J-Jess, need-air-pled-"
"o-OH!" I quickly released. "OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY, I- I DIDNT REALISE!"
Travis chuckled, weasing just a little. "Don't worry about it. I know sometimes it's hard to keep in mind people aren't as strong as you." I just nod. "Come on Jess, lets go. we souldnt keep the village waiting for to long, right? Be sides, with a little explination, i know they will understand, they still love you. Your the village mom after all!"
I giggle. "I guess your right, but if they don't exept me, what will I do?" Travis gives me a look. I nod and head out of the house, Travis raking one last bite of his bacon before jogging after me. I started humming a random tune but after a bit Travis started to look at me. Just as I opened my mouth to speak, I saw we were already at the stage.
My world stoped around me. I would have to tell my real story in front on my second family. Tell them I was lying for as long as the have known me. I was scared.
I took a deep breath and got on stage. Sly instantly came to my side and I held his hand. I heard distant growling but ignored it as Trvis came up front and gave me a reasuring look and nod. Soon, the few had surrounded me and the crowed in front went quiet.
