Chapter 13

It has only been a couple minutes but the group was already tired from the distance they've walked. Taehyung was carrying Chae Yeong on his back, Yuna was whining about her feet hurting, and the rest were practically scraping their feet across the ground trying to keep up with the speed walking Yoongi in the front.

"Ughhh my feet hurt. Are we there yet?"

"We just started walking 3 minutes ago, Yuna."

The black haired female puffed out her cheeks. It's been a long day and it barely seemed to be the evening. The sun was still hidden faintly behind the clouds, none of them seeming to disperse any time now. The mood was quite gloomy.

"Jungkook-ah, why don't you carry me? Pwetty please?" The girl spun around and pressed herself onto the teen, making these weird puppy eyes at him.

And Jungkook being the lovesick boy just couldn't say no.

"Oh s-sure noona."

"Yay!" She cheered before hopping onto his back. She wrapped her arms around Jungkook securely, making the younger blush once again. He couldn't see it but Taehyung and Jimin looked at each other, gagging at the sight.

"Yoongi hyung, how much longer?" Jimin asked.

The silver haired male just sighed. "I don't know, just keep walking guys. We can't get tired now."

"At least a break?"

The leader slowed down, causing everyone else to follow his movements. He turned around to face the group, scanning everyone's faces. It was quite obvious that they were all exhausted from everything so far. He glanced at the sky, looking for his answers again.

"Alright. Let's keep going, I'll find a safe place to stop."

Everyone nodded and proceeded to walk the route Yoongi was taking.

"Right here guys. We should be fine here."

They happened to find an abandoned store. Yoongi had to secure the area by checking inside the store and the parking lot in front of it. Luckily the area seemed to be vacant.

Taehyung let Chae Yeong down. "Stay here with Jimin and Jungkook, capish?" The little girl replied back with a hum and the brunette smiled. He and Hoseok ran inside the store to gather any supplies they might need: drinks, food, first aid kits, etc.

Yuna also hopped off of Jungkook's back. Before the male could say anything to her she took off running inside the store as well.

'Um.... you're welcome?' the boy thought, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

"Wow, what a girlfriend," Jimin mocked. The younger gave him a sad look. "Oh- no I didn't mean anything, I'm just thinking you know, like, wow what a... nice girlfriend." His attempt to cover up his words was followed up with a crushing silence, which was soon broken by a certain little girl.

"Jungkook-ssi you're really strong," Chae Yeong said. She was kind of peeking out behind Jimin since she was a little shy towards the brunette male. Jungkook cracked a smile. He bent down to her level.

"Thanks kid. Chae Yeong, was it?" She nodded lightly. Jungkook didn't want to have an awkward relationship with the girl so he raised his hand towards her, making a fist. "Call me oppa, okay? I'll protect you, like a superhero!" Chae Yeong giggled at this and fist bumped him. Jungkook made a dramatic explosion noise with his mouth as he brought his hand back, earning more giggles from the girl.

Seeing his friend acting this way made Jimin smile. It was cute.

Jungkook stood up and looked around. He spotted Yoongi sitting down on the curb, his head in his hands. It made him worry but he didn't want to leave Jimin and Chae Yeong.
