Chapter 3-No Changes

My mother... She was a large grey wolf. Her eyes were red with a hint of blue. She walked towards me, and I wrapped my arm around her neck, embracing her. "Your still my mother, nothing can change that.." I murmured into her fur. I pulled away and we followed the scientist to the testing chamber. I saw my mother led to a different room and mouthed I love you as she left. They brought me into a different room with a dummy and a small gun.

"We need to test your agility," The female scientist spoke into the speaker. "The bullets are foam nerf toys, but they will shock you if you get hit. Move quickly," She spoke before the entrance closed. As it closed, the dummy turned to face me, pointed the gun and shot.

"KAINE!" I shouted.

Got it! He responded as I dodged the bullet, my wings growing larger and flapping a bit harder to fly properly. I flew around the dummy, sometimes I launched some attacks into its face. It malfunctioned and went faster. I grabbed its gun and twisted, lodging my foot in the back of its head and tearing off its arm. I removed the arm and pointed the gun at the doll, firing, making it malfunction and break down. The scientists walked in with clipboards and one knelt down beside it, observing it.

"Fantastic job!" One praised me. "May I please have that gun?"

I nodded and as I handed him my gun, a sharp pain struck my neck, causing me to fall on my knees. I had my face down and my body lied on its chest. My head was turned to a giant hole, and my mother broke down the wall, roaring in fury. It killed all of the scientists in her sight, and grabbed my body in her jaws, running out.

I woke up in against a warm body. I opened my eyes and my mothers gray fur rested against my face. I got up and saw that she was sleeping. "Mom?" I asked as I gently shook her. She woke up and locked gazes with me. Her wolf shape thinning and she became the shape of a woman. The only thing that clothed her was white cloth.

"Yes?"

"No changes?"

"No changes" She smiled, pulling my head into a hug. "This happened quickly, eh?"

"Yeah... It did," I murmured. I pulled away from her. "Does this mean I'm not going to school?"

"Oh, you still are. Its a private school, though," She smiled. I got up and removed my jacket, handing it to her.

"I want all the eyes on me this time, mom," I giggled. She smiled and put it on, getting up and walking beside me.

I felt a cold chill run down my spine and my head began to spin. I turned around and I could've sworn I saw a man in a business suit, with no facial features... My eyes widened and I grabbed moms hand, speeding up my pace. The edges of my eyes were beginning to darken, and I ran faster. "KAINE!" I called out as my wings grew larger and I grabbed my moms wrist, flying high above the trees. My mom was screaming and panicking but I flew to our apartment, unlocking our door and slipping inside. My mom sat on the couch and my wings shrank again, folding perfectly behind my shirt. I walked into the bathroom and began running the water. I opened the door again and saw my mother entering her room. I walked back inside and began to undress. I looked in the mirror and swore I saw the reflection of a shadow behind me. I turned around and saw nothing. I shrugged it off and my tail and ears hid in my body, letting me wash freely without having to wash my ears and tail.

Thank God you're mine." I sang as I ran my fingers through my lathered hair. I hummed the rythym as I rinsed out my hair, adding my conditioner. I felt my hair grow loose and soft, causing me to smile as I rinsed my hair thoroughly and stepping out of the shower. I pulled out a towel and wrapped it around my body, collecting my loose clothing. I walked out and the cold air hit me like a train. So I dashed to my room and closed my window, removing my towel. My room became humid, and I began to wrap my hair in my towel. I rummaged through my dresser and pulled out comfortable pants and a loose T-shirt. I slipped into those and tossed my used clothes in the corner of my room, so I don't have to see it that often. I walked into the living room and saw my mother with her wolf parts exposing on her head and... Waist. I sat down next to her and we watched a marathon of mom's Soap Opera. I yawned and got up, saying my good nights to her and walking to my room. I lied down, and thought...

Its only my second day. I got kidnapped, turned into a kitsune... Wait..? My day was longer then the last. Kaine, how long was I out in the lab?

A few days... 5 to be exact.

Well, my first week here. I got turned into a kitsune and my mother turned into a furry. I think I encountered the Slenderman... Bah, I need to sleep. I chased the thought of seeing the slenderman, and turned on my side, my window blinds open but the actual window closed and locked. I saw the city lights — or moonlight — filter through my window and making a light for me to see in the room. I could've sworn I saw a boy with long hair watching me sleep. But I was tired, I might as well sleep it off.
