A man wished for power far greater than a man should receive. He yearned for power which would see the Gods themselves cower and kneel in fear. The man is no longer a man but a monster, born out of dark magic by one of the first witches in time, Lazarus.
No, the man is now a creature of darkness, something of horror and nightmares; something that prowls in shadows and kills without mercy, the man is the Necromancer.
Stories of old tell tales of The Necromancer and all he has done since he was first made over two thousand years ago by the original witch, as a part of a struck deal which would hopefully see her one day resurrected.
The centuries passed, over a thousand years in total and the Necromancer hid within the shadows, residing himself within a dark castle, in a land far away from his homelands of England.
In that very tall castle, upon that lonely isolated hilltop, he waited and waited for the chance to bring back Lazarus, his trusted witch, his master, his goddess. He devoted his long life to seeing her reborn into the world and he would not stop at anything to see it become so.
The Necromancer hunted for one of the most vital ingredients to the resurrection ritual which he needed to find above all else... A Key. It was fairly easy enough to locate one with the correct spell of course, but what made it difficult was trying to get to the key, they were always heavily protected, vampire monarchs around the world did their best to prevent the resurrection from coming to pass.
For centuries, the Necromancer did not show himself in public, ever, never revealing his face or body to human and supernatural beings outside of his castle or the neighbouring towns and villages; forever hiding himself under heavy hooded cloaks or strong armour which is forged and crafted of the strongest metals. This was because he knew of something very important when it came to the art of war – the most dangerous kind of enemy was the unseen enemy.
