*Chapter 2*

The look on Skye's face represented true horror. She had built this place up, with her fiance, and now it is being destroyed. The perpetrator of the crime was in front of her, and he looked her in the eyes. "Are you Skye?", he asked. "Y-Yes. I am. Who are you?" Skye asked. "Noel, Noel Kreiss." Noel told her. "Follow me please, and have your people hold fire." Noel requested. She laid the order, to be cautious, and went with him. Noel casted some sort of magic, that sealed the wormhole he climbed through. When they got to a place, away from ears and near the historian HQ. This is the timeline where it was first created. Once they were in an alley, Skye drew her sword and pulled to his throat. "Who are you, and why do you have Jack's necklace?" Skye asked him, close to tears. "I'm Noel. I am from about 50 years ago. Jack, brought me to this date, 5 years later. We are trying to stop the world from ending." Noel informed her. "Where do I fit in this plan?" Skye asked him. "Something went wrong in the timeline, Caius got too powerful, and Jack got killed. Which ended the blessing of Etro." Noel informed her. "So we need to change the timeline, to save Jack's life!" Skye asked. "Yes but-" Noel started grabbing her sword from her hand and throwing it across the street where the glass hilt shattered. "-You're not using that." Noel finished. "Then what am I using?" Ske asked. Almost coincidentally, a Moogle flew in front of her, and landed in her hands. The moogle looked her in the eyes, and whacked her in the head with the clock he wielded. "KUPO!" the moogle cried. "That." Noel told her. Skye must have looked confused because Noel went on about the moogle. "It's name is Mog. A shapeshifting moogle. It goes from Moogle, to sword, to bow." Noel informed her. "How did you get here?" Skye asked him. "No time, we need to hurry, Jack's life depends on it." Noel scolded at her, and with that they were off. Skye led Noel, considering this was her town, and one of many places Noel hasn't discovered yet. Until now. Despite her orders, Yuji was still trying to recruit soldiers to fight against Noel. a group of 6 soldiers encountered them. They saw Skye, yet did not back down. "Harboring the criminals now, Lady?" one of the soldiers asked. "That's a crime." he informed her, and charged. Noel slashed at them, and screamed to Skye. "Call out Mog for the moogle to help, idiot!". Skye looked at the moogle, and called it's name. "MOG!". The moogle turned into a beautiful blade, it was about half her height, and lightweight. She wielded the blade, against the guards, attacking over, and over. They went through 5 soldiers, until the commander Yuji, ran up to them. "Yuji, tell your men to back down." Yuji looked at her shocked that she was covering the destroyer of the town. "The Lady of the town or not, harboring is a crime. Let's be fair Skye. Surrender or die." Yuji told her. "He is not what you think! He knows where Jack is!" Skye, with fear in her eyes informed him. Yuji's expression didn't change, as he pulled his gun from it's container and pointed it at Skye. "Surrender or die." Yuji repeated. Then he shot the weapon only for noel to jump in it's way, blocking it with his sword, causing sparks to fly. With the smoke to cover them and the sparks, Noel, and Skye ran off. They ducked in an alley as Yuji's velocycle zoomed pass. Scared Skye looked Noel in the eyes, "Where is the way you got here? We could use that to kill this 'Caius' dude." Skye asked him. "Did you not hear me?" Noel asked her in return. Skye looked at him, quizzingly. Noel rolled his eyes, and looked at her. "Things went wrong in the timeline, not in the future. We are trying to change the past, to prevent Caius from overpowering." Noel told her, annoyed. Mog had been floating over Skye's shoulder. She looked at the floating friend, and nodded. Noel started off, to the wormhole he came in, and Skye started to follow. Noel warned Skye, that it was dangerous. "How?" skye asked him. Noel simply replied with "no time." and ran off. The two kept running until they were on top of the Sitter's rock, but there was noone up there. Everything looked desolate. And the land below them, looked chaotic. They were very close to the wormhole, but Noel realized something. "Shit." he muttered under his breath. Skye, not two feet away looked at the wormhole. It was closing. "Run!" Noel cried, and ran for the wormhole. Skye tried to make it too, but the wormhole closed. Noel tried to jump in right when it closed. When it closed, the impact blew a hard gust of air, knocking down many trees in the pathway. Noel rolled on the ground, getting laughs from Skye. "Great job, hero." she joked at him. "Oh shut it." was his only reply before they decided to return to town, to go through the Historian HQ, which meant they had to be cautious, and not let Yuji catch them.

They tried their best to hurry to Historian HQ. the trees that fell blocked the way down the mountain. Noel looked over the edge and shrugged. Sky was behind him. He turned to face her, them fell backwards off the mountain. Skye hurried to the cliff and looked over, to only see the clouds it poked through. Noel was fine at the bottom, just sitting there waiting for Skye. Skye was scared the Noel had not made it and had died. Mog looked at her, then hit her in the back of her head, with his clock. "Hurry up, Kupo!" the Moogle said. Skye looked anxious. Mog looked her in the eye and told her this "Jack had put his blessing on Noel, through his necklace. And I'm a gift, to protect you.". Skye looked him in the eye, then looked over the cliff. She jumped, screaming the whole way. Before she landed gravity slowed her down, and she fell on her butt. Noel looked at her. "Took you long enough." Noel jabbed at her. Skye rolled her eyes, and they went to the HQ.

As they approached the beach, more and more guards were after them. The sped through the guards, slashing, and slashing. They were close to the HQ when the last ran into Yuji.

Yuji was out of breath, and weak. He looked up at the pair, "You are making this harder than it is, Skye." he told them. Noel looked at her, then ran off. Skye looked up at Yuji, who had already chose to attempt putting a bullet in her brain. As he cocked the gun, a roaring grew louder and louder. He put his finger on the trigger, then something came from behind, and stabbed right through his chest. Yuji looked down at the object, then slumped dead. Skye looked to see Noel, with his sword driven in Yuji's back. Noel looked at Skye and nodded. Skye nodded back.
