Perry's P.O.V

*Earlier*

It seems as if the same days here only grow in numbers.

I watch my brothers go out during the night, leading new girls home come nightfall.
On occasion I join them, but other times I stay behind to dwell.
Last night I joined.

"Someone.. was hungry." My step brother, Ezra, cooes stepping over the unconcious blonde girl on the carpet floor.
The sunlight peeking through the clouds from the window makes her blue, glittery eye makeup shimmer.
It's the glitter that got my attention in the nightclub.

Ezra joins me at the end of the corridor looking out on the woods.
"Tsk tsk.."
I glare at the wine glass of red substance in his grasp as he sips it.

"Is this what you enjoy doing all day?" I finally say after a moment, looking away from the blood.
"Lazing around, girls at your polished feet? Blood dripping from the walls, because with the snap of your finger you have it?"

Ezra grimaces at me and rakes his fingers through his white wispy hair.

"This is the life I have always had." The look of a lost puppy flashes across Ezras face, then fades as quick as it came. He flashes his pearly whites instead, looking back to the bleeding blond.

"What did you say not to long ago, Perry? Something about not harming humans anymore.." His voice is mocking me.
Heat from all the blood I drank rises up in my face as my fangs bare themselves.
"This is your fault," I growl.
"My fault? Perry, I'm not the one who tore out the poor girls throat." He says in his fake nice tone, gesturing to the blonde.

One of our maids appears in the hallway and Ezra snaps his fingers to get her attention.
"Hey, could you please clean this mess up? "
The cute maid bows, and very faintly I can hear her heartbeat at its rapid pace.
"Yes master Ezra, right away," She begins pulling her cart over to the stains of blood.

My fist is already clenching tightly, but I urge myself to loosen it.
Ezra just downs the rest of the blood glass and shuffles away, looking back briefly.
"It looks as if a storm is coming brother."

"Put on a shirt." I call after him dryly.
My head snaps in the direction from which I hear a soft groan.
"Oww my head.." The girl is awake and attempting to sit up. Not to mention she's pale as hell.

"I-I'm bleeding!" She grips her bloody throat with streams of bright blood trickling down her shouler. Scooting further away, her eyes widening with fear as she spots me.
"No-please!"

I cross from the window to her nonchalantly, yanking her up by her arm.
The quickening sound of her heartbeat rings in my ears.
Ba-dump, ba-dump.
"Let me go!"

"Be quiet, and stay still."

Arabella's P.O.V

"Hey you."

An unpleasant shiver travels down my spine as every muscle in my body turns to stone.

This time, I decide to reel around slowly. I have no idea who or what is behind me. Whoever it may be, they could probably outrun me in a heartbeat.. Or worse.

My eyes trail up to find a pair of cool blue eyes peering back into mine. His hair raven black, and his face is chiseled to perfection.
I'm wordless at this point.

"Don't you think it's rather rude to be wandering around a strangers home by yourself?"
"Wha-?" I swallow the lump in my throat to speak, dumbfounded.

"Speak up. It's rude, is it not?"

Just to throw him off of his high horse, I let out a half-hearted laugh and size him up.
"Who are you to order me around? Don't you think its rude to sneak up on people like that?"
My hand leaves my suitcase and rests on my hip.
The young man chuckles.
"The name's Perry. You must be Rain's new babysitter, no?"
My eyebrows raise themselves.
He knew I was coming?
"Yes, but-"

"Arabella Rosa Fawnshaw, eighteen years old." He cuts in.

"How did you know that?" I gasp.
"Your ID." He flashes a smile, waving my wallet in the air.
"Hey! Give me that!"
The young man cocks an eyebrow at me and holds my wallet out of reach.

"You should be thanking me. I'm the one who found you unconscious in the garden with my step brother. Would you rather have been left in the garden for the wolves?"

My stomach begins to churn as I remember the fangs hanging from the mouth of that red eyed man.
Step brothers?!
"No. Of course not. But I thought I saw your step brother... errr... grow fangs! ..and I don't remember fainting!"

His facial expression is suddenly grim, almost dark. and I realise I can't trust him, he might be beautiful but he's a total stranger. He could be one of them.

I need to leave.
Keeping myself from blurting anything further out, I let out a very skaky, "I-I need to go home."

"I'm afraid you can't do that, Arabella." He sighs, as if he's thinking up what to do.

My tone grows desperate, I'm actually scared for my life.
"I won't tell anyone. I swear! I blacked out, I don't remember a thing after I got here."

"We both know thats not true, Arabella. I'm not gonna hurt-"

Our conversation is cut short when my back taps the door that swings open, knocking me over. Before I can regain my footing, I fall back against someone with a very firm stomach.
Immediately, two hands find my shoulders and I freeze in place with goosebumps tickling my arms.

"Hello again," a deep whisper tickles my ear and makes my stomach churn.
I let out an involuntary squeal and pull away, shrinking behind Perry for protection.
The drop dead gorgeous man from the garden standing in the doorway, playing with the silver rings on his fingers.
"You!" I blurt out faster than I can think.
Everything from the garden comes rushing back.
Vampire.

A tall, pretty girl with long brown hair appears next to him in the doorway moments later.
"We have got to stop meeting like this." He says with a smirk spreading accross the side of his face.
