    I once loved.

His name was Rory. He was different from the rest of the boys within my grade. He wasn't shy, he just limited his voice. Speak only when needed. He's quite talkative actually, he just says the necessary things.

Everyone mostly likes him. He's a easy going person. He had no reason to be someone's rival at anything. He's like a real life innocent-boy-next-door type of guy. But maybe it was just an act to hide his gamer attitude. He loves to play.

Whenever we hung out with our mutual friends, they would talk about the latest games while I play on my phone. It wasn't a big deal. At least, at first it wasn't.

Call it what you want, but having brought up with a mind that has been mended of thinking that " A friendship between a boy and a girl doesn't exist because one of them is bound to fall for the other " really does make or break you. I fell in love not soon after three months of knowing him.

Rory was the second person I fell for ever since I entered high school. The first being one of his friend. At that time I was just being desperate. The pressure of not having a lover gets to you at some point in life. Unlike Rory, this guy was a douche. A douche bag when came the subject of romance. When in reality he just didn't have any interest in me.

But because of this guy, he opened my eyes and Rory was there. At first we didn't talk much other than the TV shows that we watch. Sooner or later, the secrets started to spill and my broken heart demanded for a new interest.

Our friends and I had a trip together. And on the first night, he went missing by accidentally missing the turn in the crowded place. And of course his phone was dead. I was panicking so bad I started to cry. Minutes later, moments before I called the police, shows Rory with not only a gleeful smile but a rose in his hand.

He said sorry for making me worry and handed me the rose. However, in that mental state of mine, I couldn't feel anything besides my wobbly feet that was starting to give up on me and the anger I had. I didn't accept the rose and slapped his arm. The next thing I knew was that, I walked back to the inn that we were staying alone.

Without even looking back, I knew Rory walked me back. At least not within arms reach but within his eyesight.

The next day when I woke up, a friend of mine holds the rose. I was jealous- that was a given. But I couldn't afford to look the way I was feeling so I ignored it. Days later, my friend told me that the reason why Rory gave them the rose was only because it would be near me. Even if I didn't want it, it'd still be with me.

    Rory Eaton is something else.

I subconsciously slapped his arm and he still thought about me. How can I come to hate a person like him? He's nothing like anyone I've liked before.

A few months later we went to an amusement park. One of our friends has a premium pass so our little group of 6 people can ride as many rides as we want without waiting in line.

However the rides doesn't give any special treatment when it comes to the opening time to their rides. So we still had to wait, just not in line. The first thing we rode was a themed ride, mostly for kids but whatever. The ride was wobbly because it was a water ride. The setting was dark; a perfect place for a date.

I didn't make any first move because Rory personally doesn't like to touch other people. So I respected his wish. In fact I made sure there was at least a foot length between us. Kinda ridiculous but there's nothing I could do about it.

Half way through the ride, I started to regret to only wear a shirt and brought no jacket. The ride was freezing. Well, the themed ride has a 'freezing' nature so it was a given. At that point, Rory might've noticed me  rubbing my bare arms to somewhat try to heat up my body. It was then when not only me but my friends was left dumbfounded.

Rory pulled me by my shirt and casually placed his arm behind me, just like what couples did in the movies. And of course I forgot how to breath. He made the first move. He made the first move!

The guy then says "Photo, photo." we all panicked and posed 'beautifully' to where a camera would normally be placed. He then adds "Did I confirm that there was a camera though?" And we all slapped him and laughed it off.

I didn't slap him though. How could I? I was mesmerized by his smile.

Then there was a ride called the Tip Slide. We would go into the giant boat and it would slide from side to side. Slowly and eventually at a angle. At first I was fine. Totally fine. Then as the ride went on I became silent and was terrified. You see I'm afraid of heights and certainly it was a given. Rory manages to slip his hand to mine as eventually our fingers intertwined with the other. I looked at him confused, but his eyes was nowhere near mine as he looked away from me. Probably to hide his blushing face.

Once the ride was over, he helped me down and looked at out friends as he still holds my hand, "Ay, what time do we go home?" asked Rory. One of our friends answered "Probably best before the park closes. So maybe before 10-ish I guess. Why?"

"Why? Well let's just meet up at the car at 10.30 alright? Ok bye." Rory then pulled me away as we made an exit.

"Rory are you crazy? This place is crowded! What if we get lost?!" I try to convince him as we made way through the crowds.

"... As long as I'm holding you and you're with me, I got no problem being lost. Besides, what's a date if you're being watched?"

Rory Eaton. Age 16. Brown skin. Brown eyes. Black hair. Asian. Height approximately 5'8". A hardcore gamer with a heart that's soft as a kitten. Has stolen my heart for good.
