BIANCA'S POV

I STOPPED CARING AND STARTED LIVING. THAT WAS MY MOTTO. I didn't care about anyone's opinion back in high school and believe me, when I say I care even less now in college.

Ever had that moment in life when your heart gets broken by your crush all because they didn't feel the same way you did for them? No? Then honestly consult a love doctor.

Well, first of all hearts don't break. What you're feeling is just growing pains. Your heart is expanding in wisdom, compassion and strength, so that one day you can love again!!!

Believe me, these statements are true.

But it's so strange how a fragile heart functions. How does it easily make someone emotional and feel so insecure?

Perhaps, that's why we protect them so vigorously, give them away so rarely and why it means so much when we do.

Some hearts are more fragile than others. Like crystals in a world of glass, even the way they shatter is beautiful.

I silently walked out of the veterinary hospital. The sun was shown high in the baby blue sky dotted with white puffy clouds that looked like cotton candy. The tree leaves caressed the roses in the garden nearby whilst the sunflowers swayed hello in greetings.

It was hard to believe the blazing sun was millions of kilometres away from earth. Sweat ran through my forehead and I ran my hand through my lustrous mahogany brown hair with blonde highlights to cool down my mood. My palms had become damp from carrying my Aunt Nona's adorable white cat, Saber because he hated being caged. He means the world to her!!!

I let out a deep breath, a hint of a smile playing on my lips because Saber's check up was successful. The warm wind brushed of the strands of my mahogany hair on my face, making them float behind my ear.

I wasn't beautiful in the classical way, no flowing golden curls or ivory skin, no piercing eyes of green. I was shorter than average and certainly larger than a catwalk model. My eyes were just as black as the dark night and were full of insecurity and shyness but in my ordinariness I was truly stunning.

Something radiated from within that rendered me irresistible to both genders. Men desired me and women courted my friendship.
