She woke up with a start. Her heart boomed against her chest, begging to be set free. Her eyes glistened in the moonlight as tears threatened to fall. Her soft lips curved and quivered, allowing a small whimper to escape. Her hands clutched at the white bedsheets.
As pants and whimpers quiet down, her thoughts began to race.
Remember. Please don't forget...I-I'm begging you. Don't let me fade in-
A quiet knock dragged her out of her toxic thoughts. Struggling, she found her voice and responded to the knock, "y-yes?" She half whispered.
A head popped in.
Her expression softened, eyes recognizing the certain blonde in front of her.
"Hey Blondie."
