Awakening: Conquest of Valm by Chris and Vinnie

Prologue: After The Mad King's War

Disclaimer: Neither me nor Vinnie own anything from this story. Fire Emblem:Awakening is a video game for the Nintendo 3DS. The story(including almost all lines, exept some edited/added ones) and characters are Nintendo's, and me and Vinnie just put it in story form.

Prologue: After The Mad King's War by Chris

Sumia ran towards Chrom

"Captain!" She yelled, her voice full of obvious worry.

"Sumia?" Chrom asked.

"Oh, Captain! You made it! You're safe!" She said relieved. Flavia, Basilio, Chris, Vinnie, and Lissa watched in surprise as she hugged him.

"Hoo!" Flavia said. "Give these two some room!"

"Sumia..." Chrom gasped for breath. "You're choking me!"

"Are you hurt? Grazed even? You look exhausted!"

"Chrom?!" Lissa gasped, "Say something!"

"I'm trying to!" He choked out.

"Uh-huh. Flavia? Chris and Vinnie? Maybe we should...you know."

Flavia chuckled "Carry on, lovebirds!" Everyone except Sumia and Chrom shuffled out, but stood near the door to the fort eavesdropping.

Sumia finally let go Chrom, who said. "Hey, are you- come on, don't cry." Sumia sniffled

"S-Sorry! I just..."

"No. Don't apologize. I've been so worried about everyone else lately...My sister, our party, my people. It feels nice to have someone worry about me. Especially someone I lo- I mean someone so...gifted with pegasi."

Sumia laughed. "You've been through so much."

"So many people have suffered and died because of my actions. Next to my sister's legacy, I feel I'm already a dissapointment...."

"But that's not true!" Sumia remarked. "Everyone fought so hard for you! Why would we all do that for a man we didn't believe in?"

Chrom chuckled "I see your point. Thank's Sumia. You always help me see the brighter side in things."

"To me you are the brighest thing!" Sumia hugged Chrom, and this time he returned the hug.

"Sumia..."

"Y-yes...?"

"I'm far from a perfect man, and I know you can do better. But, whenever your close...you give me strength... So what I want to ask you is... Will you be my wife?"

"YES! Yes,yes oh yes!"

"Oh, thank gods! I was worried for a second because- Well. Anyway, this is for you."

"Y-your ring? But it bears the Ylissean crest! Chrom,I...I can't take this."

"Yes, you can. My parents had it made to celebrate my birth. They wanted me to give it to the woman I would spend my life with. Take it. Please. And know I will love you until the day I die."

"Capt-Chrom....Thank you. I swear I will return that love to you a hundredfold!"

"Then I am a fortunate man. I'll need to ask for a bit of patience for the near future. My first duty must be to heal the scars of war and assume my role for the people. But then, we can begin our life together."

"I'll wait as long as it takes! I...I still hardly believe it. This is like a dream. So much pain surrounds us, and yet... I think this is the happiest day of my life."

"I feel the same way. I know together we can bring joy back to the royal palace. I'll do everything I can to make the castle a happy home for us...my love."

"My love."

And so the war between Ylisse and Plegia was ended. Prince Chrom,Chris, and Vinnie worked tirelessly to restore Ylisse's splendor. This would be no easy task, for the war had taken a heavy toll on the halidom. But with Feroxi muscle and Plegian gold, they brought peace back to the people. All the while, the prince forswore the title of exalt, out of respect to his late sister. Even so, his subjects grew eager for their new ruler to take a wife. And in his heart, Chrom had always known who that woman would be. The royal wedding was a joyous occasion, attended by thousands from near and far.

Many of the others married during the peace as well. Vinnie and Olivia were married in what was probably the most awkward marriage in Ylisse's history. While they were an extremely happy couple, Olivia was always to shy to be seen with Vinnie. Nowi, who had longed almost all thousand years for a husband, got married. Chris had taught her many things during the war, and she was quite happy when he proposed.People, despite his protests, always commented on how cute his daughter was. Lon'qu fell in love with Lissa, and they got married as well. Lon'qu hadn't gotten over his gynophobia;only formed an exception. Sully and Stahl, seeing their common goals joined together to help each other realize them. Stahl soon realized Sully was more than a training partner and proposed. Gaius revealed to Maribelle that he had saved a little girl he had never met by accusing her father of a theft: Maribelle herself. Maribelle fell in love with the thief after that, and after they married, he stole her heart everyday. Miriel finally found a man worth figuring out. After this, she never let Kellam leave her sight, lest her husband disappear forever. Cordelia helped Vaike best Chrom, even though she still loved him with all her heart. Hoping Chrom had been bested in love's war as well, Vaike proposed to Cordelia.

Finally, it seemed that the last lingering wounds of Ylisse's history had healed. But then two years later...
