"So, do you think I'm not capable of walking home by myself?" Rin asked defensively.

Turning to look at her, her colleague gave a smug smile. "It's not that at all." Rain bounced off his face as he continued to answer. "We live in the same block of apartments." Loke returned his line of sight to where he was going and Rin tried to laugh off her stupidity.

D'you breathe the name of your saviour in your hour of need,
and taste the blame if the flavour should remind you of greed?

She wanted him. Damn right, she did. Who wouldn't? He had the looks, a decent sense of humour, and was charming in a perverted sort of way. He was just too damn good to resist. Nevertheless, some things just are just too good to be true. It would never work. Especially not for her - They worked together for Christ's sake. Plus, she was sceptical about his relationship with Lucy. She couldn't very well go right ahead and snatch a guild member's man. Could she...

Peering up at the man beside her as they walked in time, verdant irises scanned the fitted suit clinging to the body she would bet money was as hot as she'd imagined. As if drawn in by an unseen force, she raised her hand up towards his face without a word. Wiping away the droplets dripping from his hair, the pair came to a pause down an empty side-street.

...Come feed the rain

Silently, the vibrant strand slipped from between her fingers and her hand landed on his icy skin. He rotated his head to face her upon the warmth of her touch. Grasping her actions, she tried to remove her hand, only for him to take hold of it. Seconds turned into minutes as they held each other's gaze, both of them forgetting their surroundings.

Before she had any idea of what was going on, a grip on her waist made her stumble back into the wall. Loke's whole mood had changed, but by the way his hair was hanging over his eyes, she couldn't tell what he was thinking. She could feel his heartbeat against her chest as he inched in, his heated breath tickled her cheek. A strong hand snaked further around the girl's waist as he brought the other up towards her face. With care, the taller male rested his index finger under her chin, tilting her head back to make her look up.

Peering up with a smirk, the older male craned his neck towards her. "I knew you couldn't resist forever."

I lust for after no disaster can touch, touch us anymore
And more than ever, I hope to never fall, where enough is not the same it was before...

Pulling away, she quirked her brow. "Oh, really?" Flicking the waist length crimson locks off her face, Rin gave a mocking laugh. "Now I know you were expecting it, I'll just make you work harder." Nudging past, she began speed walking off to avoid exchanging anymore unwanted words. She had managed to get at least twelve feet ahead of him before he fully registered her words. Gawking at her back with an eyebrow raised, he questioned what just happened.
