As he said, Karlheinz took his newborn daughter to Japan a week to date after Adiva's death. Though he felt for her, he did not mourn as a human would. Death was natural, and he had no real reason to be sad. He would never have married her anyway. While she was high in social status, it would not have benefitted his kingdom nor people to wed her. It was..for the best. And he believed that.

Reisa Evarose Ivaneir Sakamaki. As time passed, she grew from a precious baby to an adorable, lively little girl. A good addition to the quiet, somber atmosphere of his mansion. Karlheinz soon became aware that, as much as he wanted to, he could not look after her and take care of his kingdom. He would hand her off to maids for the duration of the day and most of the evening. Despite this, he set aside an hour or two to just hold her and speak nonsense

But, as months past, the maids took note of how she became increasingly fussy. She would whine and large tears would form at the corners of he eyes for no apparent reason. When she got like this, it would cause her to cry even more when someone would scoop her into their arms and attempt to calm her. At first, they assumed it was simply a toddler thing. But, Reisa was never like that; she was normally delightful, curious and happy and easily pleased. Her whining would be constant, and it would get to the point where they would leave her be in order to keep the King off of their backs and their heads on their necks.

But, he started to take note of her irritability, too. With her being so young, the use of her words to express herself was extremely limited. And so, he called in the very same doctor, Jeichi.

A maid, the one the princess was most comfortable with, was in the sitting room, patient and quiet while she played with her. The older woman knew what the two were waiting on, and was a bit worried for her. She didn't have a very good feeling about the doctor being called in but put it aside.

The loud knocking at the front doors sounded throughout the lower level. alerting the little girl. Karlheinz considered that mansion his daughter's home, and partially to keep her hidden, never had company or held meetings at that location.

Faster than she could stop her, the 3-year-old slipped from the maid's view and to the door, going to stand there until someone answered it, bouncing on her toes. The woman sighed, catching up with her, and propped her on her hip. She pulled the heavy mahogany door open, revealing a pale, smiling face.

"Ah! There's the princess! You know, it's been quite some time since I've seen you," He cooed, slipped in and taking the child from the servant, pinching her nose playfully. She grinned and reached for the deep blue locks that cascaded over his shoulder in a braid. With her father's silky, uncut locks, she was always occupied with them, pulling and tugging. The doctor didn't mind, walking further into the mansion.

"Where is he? My time is quite valuable. But, I can make room for this adorable ball of sunshine~" He gushed over the child, walking back to the sitting room. The woman followed him closely behind, wiping her slightly sweaty hands on her apron.

"Oh, His Highness.. Yes, I'll be right back..."
