"Ring...ring"

Chloe hopped out of bed once she heard the phone. Rushing over to her dresser where it lay. She grabbed to check the caller id before she answer and just like she suspected it was josh.

It was their one year anniversary today. Finally Chloe had a relationship without a problem or so she thought. With a smile on her face she answered the call.

"Hello?" She sang into the phone. Josh made Chloe happy. She was in the closest thing to love.

"Uh...babe I can't make it tonight. My boss is having me work late. Sorry about that...can't doing anything about it." Josh replied. Chloe was use to Josh say no. It was who he was.

"Can we go for dinner tomorrow night then?" Chloe asked trying not to sound desperate. At times she thought she needed him more then he needed her.

"Um...sure. Got to go now. See you at school." And with that he hung up. Chloe sighed as she put the phone back on the dresser. She turned around to look into the mirror before stepping into her closet. The closet was small but it was all she needed.

She went threw all her clothes twice before settling on a burgundy Brandy Melville dress the a floral design. She paired it with tan wedges an waked out of her closet. Chloe grabbed her phone and walked down the stairs.

Her parents and sister had already left the house leaving Chloe all alone. She didn't mind. Chloe liked the silence of an empty house.

When she walked into the kitchen she found muffins and a note from her from. Chloe skimmed over the note before taking a muffin and heading back to her room.

Chloe sat at her vanity putting on make up when she realized that she would set up dinner when Josh was at work. Since Josh's family had a small barn at the back of their property josh decide to renovate it and live out there last summer. Chloe remember countless hours were she would just watch him work.

She ran out the door realizing that it was time to leave for school. Right by the door Chloe spotted headphones plugging them into her phone then pressing shuffle. Chandelier by Sia played.

Chloe was nothing like the girl in the song. Though josh was a complete party animal Chloe wasn't. Chloe wouldn't drink away her life or even drink in the first place. Though she couldn't connect she loved the song all the same.

As she walked to school Chloe felt her phone buzz in her pocket. Being the girl she was she quickly checked the text.

Maddie♡ - were walking right? lol. see you soon.

Maddie had always been Chloe's best friends. They had been inseparable since third grade. Though they were as close as can be you couldn't get any two people any different.

Maddie was loud. She was crazy and high spirited. She had long brown hair the she always wore crazy and beautiful blue eyes. Guys were always drawn to her wild side. Even though she was insane she also was caring. Come to think about she was exactly like the girl

In chandelier.

Chloe meet Maddie in our regular spot. Starbucks. I order a pumpkin spice latte and sit on a love seat by the window. When Maddie enters her smile lights up the room. She orders a pumpkin spice latte and comes over to sit with her best friend. Naturally they talk about they plans for this evening before heading to frhs.

Franklin Regional was your average high school. It had average teams, average clubs and average teachers. With Chloe being as average as she was she loved it.

Soon the bell rang and the girls went their separate ways. For Chloe the day went fast as she couldn't wait for tonight. She couldn't wait for the surprised look on his face when he came home from a busy day at work to a romantic dinner.

By lunch time Chloe had already planned out the entire night and went threw it in her head twice. Lunchtime was uneventful as the entire day was. She sat with Maddie and Kalani they offered to help her with dinner. Chloe turned them down though. She wanted this night to herself and wanted to plan it all by herself.

The moment that final bell ringed Chloe rushed home. She had a dress planned out that she was going to wear already and couldn't wait to put it on. The purple cocktail dress paired perfectly with her black Steve Madden pumps.

Chloe did all the cooking at her house. The steaks sizzled and the brocilli was steaming. She grabbed everything and drove over to his house. Chloe grabbed the key from under the plant and unlocked the barn.

Setting up was quick. She bought purple cloth napkins and table cloth. She set out the food and checked her watch. Eight o'clock. She sat down at the couch waiting for him to walk into the the beautifully light barn.

Suddenly Chloe heated the key get inserted into the lock she smiled to

Her self and stood up. The door knob twisted open and their josh was, but it wasn't just josh it was kalani. As they entered the room they were to busy with each other to notice her. Just as Chloe was about to say something they started to kiss.

Now this wasn't some passionate kiss. This was hard and rough. Soon as their clothes came off Chloe couldn't handle it anymore.

"Josh?" She said lightly. She obviously startled them. Tears started to pour out of Chloe's eyes making her feel like a child again.

"Chloe I can explain." Josh said but Chloe cut in.

"Explain what. You ditch me on our anniversary to come home and have sex with my best friend! I thought you loved me." You could tell Chloe was pissed. Tears started to pour out of her eyes.

"Chloe let us explain." Kalani said quietly.

"Explain what slut!" Chloe spit out. Chloe only swore when she was terribly angry.

Chloe ripped of the necklace josh had given to her on their first date and threw it to the groud.

"I'll destroy you hyland." Chloe growled as she walked away.
