3rd person POV
Eric sat in his 6th period class,History. And no,he wasn't paying attention to the lesson. He was still thinking about what Mikaela said. He couldn't stop thinking about it. It was glued to his mind. Maybe if he could gather up all the courage,he could ask Tom out on Monday. They'd be at his house playing video games.

Is that really the best idea? He thought.

He looked down at his bandaged hands.

I'll just take them off when I get home

The bandages just reminds Eric about yesterday. He'll look down and see them. These bandages are the proof that he fought with Miles too. Kids will look at him and give him looks of disgust or just look plain surprised. It gets pretty annoying. He looks down with a glare on his face. He trys to calm down by looking out of the window. The window is like his escape route from reality.

"Mr.Beckerman! Is the window more interesting then my lesson?" The teachers asks, looking at Eric with a displeased face. The class looked at Eric and smiled, amused. Some nudging their friends.

Yes actually. Eric thought. But he can't say that to a teacher.
"No. Sorry." He apologized looking back at the whiteboard.

The teacher nodded and continued. The kids turned away from Eric and he rolled his eyes.

In the other class,Tori was sitting next to Tom,who was writing his book report and paying attention to the lesson at the same time. She feels like she has to protect Tom at all costs. But yet she thinks she's weak and can't do anything. She wants to get stronger. Be stronger. Sometimes Tom reminds her of her. Shy then opening up to new people. Being bullied and having friends stand up for you. But she never got as hurt as Tom did. She never got a broken arm. But he did.
Before getting more into thought, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked to her right and saw Tom motioning a paper toward her.

"What'd ya think?" He whispers.

She smiles and takes the paper from his hands. She scanned it over and smiled when she turned the page to read more. She places the paper down and looks at him.

"It sounds like an A+ paper."

He laughs softly and nods.
"Thanks. I can't wait to turn it in."
He shoved the paper in his backpack and flashed one more smile at Tori before looking back at the board.

She sighs softly, looking back at the board.

"And there you have it! If you need to copy down any notes you missed, they'll be on the board tomorrow. Pack up kiddos. You'll be leaving in," She looks down at her watch,"2 minutes!"

Tom nods and put away his notebook. He zips it up and looks at it, as if disappointed.

"What wrong?" Tori asks.

Tom groans and pushes his backpack on the floor, making a loud 'thump'.

"My backpacks so full! Even when I organize it,it's still so heavy and full. I really wish we had lockers here like in Boston."

Tori looked at him with her eyebrows raised.

"They took them off a long time ago! They still have them in Boston. Why?"

"What do you mean, why? So it's easier to carry your stuff for every class." He answers. "Duh."

"And it'll be easier to have drugs and guns in school. Do you know how many people have drugs in their lockers?" She asked.

"Uh I don't know. We never had that problem, besides a monthly locker check,we were fine. But now,I have to carry all my stuff for the whole day. Doesn't that bother the hell outta you?"
