Ming could see the same dock they had approached when dealing with her brother. Her same brother who she killed. And her same brother who she would never forgive herself for betraying as the sudden feeling of the car stopping rushed through her system. Making each inch of her frame run cold. Because she didn't know. Didn't know what was going to happen.
And she watched as Yoongi nodded at Jin. Signaling for the man to follow him, in which the elder got out as well. Taking a small look around him before doing so.
But Ming couldn't move. Unable to take her eyes off the other boys who left as well. Leaving the girl to be the last one who left as she stayed back. Completely out of sight from JiSung and his boys whom hadn't made an appearance yet.
"Always making me fucking wait." Yoongi shook his head. Having checked his watch for the umpteenth time as Jin voiced out an annoyed he'll be here. Knowing that the younger couldn't stand when those around him weren't prompt. Because Jin was just the same. Unable to endure his anger at times when his anxiety was the highest.
But Jin was quick to look back at Hoseok. Earning a small wave of reassurance from the boy who was closest to both Yoongi and Jin. Even if he stayed further in the shadows. Coming along with them only when he needed to.
And Ming noticed how the group of boys looked smaller. Trailing her eyes amongst their frames only to whisper out the one name that had her body going numb.
"Namjoon?" She couldn't help but say it. Say it in the most hushed manner. Yet the girl was already cut off by the sudden illumination of car lights. Making her throat go instantly dry. And her heart to beat at a pace too fast for her liking. Wishing that Yoongi or one of them would've given her a weapon to use if needed. But they didn't. They didn't and she was now left completely vulnerable.
"Never thought you'd show up." Yoongi clasped his hands together. The veins in his neck protruding and jaw tight enough to make ones stomach flip. All while he watched the way JiSung walked up to him. Hiding that sudden anger coursing through his veins. Because Namjoon had told him that it was Ming who'd be taking on this deal. Yet Yoongi. . . was the one standing there.
"Oh come on Yoongi, there's no need to be so harsh, huh?" JiSung gave a smile. Bringing his hands into the pockets of his slacks, only to trail his eyes down the boys frame. Wanting to intimidate the younger just like Yoongi would intimidate those around him. But Yoongi didn't react. And he never would.
"Traffic was heavy."
However, Yoongi only scoffed. Sparing a heavy glance towards Jin who brought his fingers across the face of his watch. Knowing that time wasn't something to play with. And that their chances of staying clear were becoming more and more slim.
"You know how these things work, JiSung. . ." Yoongi was tired of talking. Completely over hearing the man's desperate ways of trying to seem like he had the upper hand. And was tired of feeling the cold air that stained his skin. Painting it with every emotion that had his girlfriend's heart aching.
And JiSung could feel the sudden lump in his throat. Knowing that he had sold more drugs than he had to offer, earlier in the week. And that Yoongi's supply. . . had been completely cut.
So instead he let himself heave out a laugh. Having the gesture alone be enough to catch Yoongi's attention. And it did. It did, and it had the boy's eyes going dark. All while the boiling of his blood grew stronger. Because Yoongi wasn't one to stay calm. Wasn't one to let himself stand there and be humiliated. And wasn't one to not lash out on those around him. Having already pulled the gun from out the back of his slacks, only to feel his knees meet with the ground. . . the minute he could raise it to JiSung's head.
"Namjoon?" Yoongi met his eyes. Barely able to even say the man's name who had placed a bullet straight through his chest. His chest that had his body screaming in pain as the sound of gun shots could do so much as fill his ears. But he could hear her. Could hear the girl who had never said his name so brokenly before. Her cheeks filled with tears, and skin painted in her love's own blood as she pulled the man's body over her lap. Wishing that what was going on wasn't real. Because she needed him. Needed him so badly.
"Yoongi baby, please—j-just look at me." And her cries were so deafening. Completely filtered out by the infinite noises surrounding them as she begged those for help. Help that she knew would never come, as the chocolates of her eyes. . . met with his own.
"You know I love you, right—"
"Yoongi." She didn't care to cut him off. The ache in her heart too apparent to go unnoticed. And never before had he thought a person could look so beautiful. Holding all that love no one never cared to give him. Because Yoongi wasn't one to let people in. Yet somehow Ming had broke through his heart. And had shown him things the human eye. . . would only be so lucky to witness.
"Thank you, kitten. . . for everything." Ming could almost hear the breaking of his heart. Her own just as broken, yet filled with an emotion that her barely able to even breath as the glossiness of his gaze let down his tears. Slipping slow enough to have her bringing the softness of her hand up to his cheek, only to brush away each one that fell.
So as she sat there with the man who had shown . . . and given. . . and loved her more than she could ever love herself, she realized that she was numb.
And she knew
Somehow
Numb was worse.
The End.
