Author's Notes (RECOMMENDED BUT SKIPPABLE)

Hi! My name is Lycanthropy and welcome to my first 'official' story on Wattpad! Yay!

So this isn't an actual chapter of the story, it's more of an introduction to myself, the story and a way to clear up any confusion that might keep you from understanding and appreciating the story. I found that way to be the best solution to avoid lengthy author's notes on actual chapters of the story. You can skip this any time you want and start reading. However, I recommend you still read, especially if you haven't read the books or have read them a long time ago.

Important!! You don't need to read the books, all I'm really doing is using the characters. So skip whenever you want!

The author

1) English is not my first language. I am not using it as an excuse to justify mistakes, incomprehension or laziness at editing and revising, I am just mentioning it. I do very meticulously revise and edit, to make sure everything is pretty and tolerable.

2) However, I am writing this on my phone, with no access to a decent word corrector/checker so while I will be extremely careful and revise as much as possible, error is human, so there might be mistakes. Nothing alarming.

3) Also, I am writing this as I go. I don't have a notebook with a detailed plan (like I usually do).

Presentation
This is a fanfiction based on the book series Vegas Vampires written by bestselling author Erin McCarthy. If you've already read the books, you can click on the second page which is the first chapter of the story and which is already up. Otherwise, I recommend you go read them. It's four books plus three short stories part of anthologies (I will, however, reference to only the four books and not the short stories). They are not long or complicated, a good read, especially if you like romance and vampires, with interesting characters and plots. You can find the ebooks online or buy them at the store or borrow them at your local library if possible. If you don't want to, which is fine, below this will be a description of the characters of the books and a summary of each book.

My fic

1) Since the books were first published from 2006 to 2008, and since I don't remember much of 2006, I am changing the timeline so that it fits our current year. It changes nothing but details.

2) The book will take place a year after the events of the fourth book.

3) OCs!

4) I am planning (possible) sequels and spinoffs.

5) If you've read (or are planning to) Erin's book series, you'll notice that they are rather light and fluffy (there are mature themes throughout). My writing style tends to be on the darker, deeper side. For this fic, at the moment, no big changes.

6) Fanfiction!

7) I'm really just using the characters with my own storyline.

8) I will be using references when needed and they will be placed at the end of the chapter in order.

Important: The characters below belong to Erin McCarthy. Everything else (unless referenced in the books) belongs to me.

• They are placed by order of appearance in the series (I'll try my hardest) and contain only the main characters of the four books. All other characters will be referenced.

• Their description is based on their situation at the end of the fourth book.

Ethan Carrick: First appearance in High Stakes. He is the current president of the Vampire Nation and the owner of the casino-hotel The Ava. He is married to Alexis Baldizzi-Carrick and he is Gwenna Carrick's older stepbrother. He's British.
