billie;
"Babe, tell me about French towns. Like, the one you grew up in," Diego said out of the blue as they cuddled on his bed. A random movie was playing in the background as the two just laid in silence.
"You're just gon' get annoyed though," she protested, having terrible experiences in the past.
"I deadass just wanna know. You get happy when you talk about and I want you to be happy," he gave her a short kiss before flashing the dopey smile she loved.
"If you ask directions in English to the French people, they'll ignore you. I was always too nice to do that, but my dad would always get asked and he just keep walking," she explained, feeling a sense of joy thinking about her hometown. But at the same time she felt more sad because she was living away from her dream city.
"Deadass?" Diego questioned in shock.
"Deadass," Billie replied with a laugh. She never expected herself to say deadass other than mocking Diego - as a joke of course. "I don't really know what to talk about because it's mainly just ghetto shit and you already know about ghetto shit."
"What's your favourite part of the city?" he asked, giving her something to talk about.
She instantly smiled at the memories. "It's a strip of all the original part of the city. It's so fucking pretty. Like, real fucking pretty," she explained. "I remember when my dad would always take me there and he'd just teach me all this shit. But it was bad things that parents probably shouldn't teach their kids. But he was a meth addict so it's fine."
"Baby, I'm sorry," he said with sympothy. He's never been in that situation, but he did know what it was like being addicted to drugs and being around people who like that.
"It's whatever," she shrugged, although the thought still hurt her. She will never forget all the terrible memories of her dad and the good ones.
"You deserve better," he gave her a kiss, causing him to receive a smile from her.
"You're annoying," she joked.
"You're weird."
Billie weirdly went silent, thinking about a question she's been waiting to ask for a while.
"Baby, everything good?" Diego asked with concern, afraid bring up her hometown brought back bad memories.
"Have you slept with anyone else besides me? Like other than Jess," she asked and he went silent, debating telling her the truth or not.
"No baby. It's only been you," he lied, not wanting to hurt her.
She wasn't sure if she should believe him, but wanted to so bad. So, she just dropped it and cuddled into his side.
