Chapter 3: A Midnight Meeting

Catty's pov:

"Titans, Go!" "H-Force, Attack!" They both yelled out, and in the blink of an eye they where all launching themselves into the fight. Speed Demon started fighting BB, Hot Shot fought Star, Storm was put against Raven while Dragon Snaps took Cy and of course, I took Jay Jay. Robin lunged at me with his staff. he swung it and I expertly dodged by jumping in the air early, I came down only to land on the staff in mid-swing, so I pushed off and did a front flip over his head landing pretty far behind him. He turned, staff in hand, and charged again with a small grunt that only my highly trained ears could hear. My hand immediatly and on instinct, went to the whip on my belt. It was curled up in a circle so i let it drop and spun around, the black bull whip trailing its handle. i raised my hand in the air and quick as lightning brang it back down. The whip let out a loud crack and i spun again, this time lower to the floor so that the whip went flying out and tripped an unexpecting Robin. He recovered quickly and this time i alowed him to get closer to me. Any move Robin executed i was always one step ahead of. "you've gotten sloppy," I commented before tripping him again. he just sat on the floor panting, but only for a second and he got up again. " no, you've just gotten better," he said. " i cant argue with that" i replied with a smirk and sending a few punches and kick flying his direction. the fight had gone on a good 8 minutes and i decided to have some quick fun and then end it. "duo minuta, finem tandem hoc!" I shouted to my teammates. (Translation: Two minutes, then we end this!) "Lorem ipsum Catty!" They responded. (Translation: Got it Catty!) with the exception of Hot Shot who responded "constat!" (Translation: Agreed!) The Titans just looked at us as if we where speaking a foreign language, which, we where. Robin started throwing punches and I dodged while backing up. I was pinned against the wall, but I had a plan. I lifted my leg up and did a round house kick while I spun around. This move switched our positions and this time I stuck my leg out and pinned his neck against the wall In between my silver heel and the rest of my foot. He squirmed to no avail seeing that the curved piece of silver was slightly sharp and jagged, enough to slit a persons throat if not careful. "Awwwww didn't Blackfire teach you anything," I said tauntingly. His eyes widened. "How'd you-" he was cut off by my finger on his lips. "Shhhhh, I know a lot of thingsss," I hissed the the end and drew out the S slightly. "And by the way she send her regards," I added. I moved my foot sending robin to the floor and threw down a smoke bomb. This gave me a few seconds to climb up to one of the bars that had the emergency water sprayers and hung slightly below the ceiling, but a few seconds is all I needed. I looked down and saw a confused Robin, hey, I could see everything that was going on below me. Speed Demon was running circles around BB, leaving him really dizzy and confused. Snap Dragon had Cy ensnared in some vines (which were currently poking up from the ground a few stories below us), Hot Shot was throwing fire balls at Star, and Storm was shooting arrows at Raven. I looked down at the sprinkler on the bottom of the bar I was on and decided to help Storm. "Storm!" I yelled. This caught her attention. I nodded towards the sprinkler and she nodded back, a devious smile on her face. "Hot Shot!" I yelled next, she looked in my direction. "A little help!" I said gesturing towards the sprinkler again. She nodded curtly and sent a stream of fire right below it. It was enough to trigger it and it started to spray water in every direction. Storm looked pleased and she flapped her wings sending her slightly higher in the air. She now wore a devious expression and her bow retracted and she put it back on her belt. She stuck her hands out to the side and slightly down, as is summoning something, her eyes closed. Suddenly, Her eyes snapped open, they were glowing underneath her mask, and coming up and surrounding her on all sides (except for the front) was the water. it had formed into a massive wave which she sent flying at Raven and the rest of the titans. The titans all lay there on the floor washed up and not moving, but still breathing. I hopped down from the bar and onto the floor, my team gathering around me. I turned my gaze to Speed Demon, "raid it," I said simply with my usual devious smile on my face. She looked back at me with the same expression and simply replied, "I thought you'd never ask," and with that she raced around the room grabing all the Sinotheum she could find. She then distributed it out evenly to the rest of the team, with the exception of me, who was now walking towards center of the room. i was looking at a elevated circle that had one just like it coming down from the ceiling in between them was a space with a tube of Sinotheum floating there. "you missed a spot," I playfully growled, then i extended my arm and snatched it up. "this should be enough," i told them. there wasnt very much, but they would be fools if they kept it all in one place. "Move out!' i yelled authoritively, only to be contradicted by, the one, the only, Robin. "your not going anywere," he suddenly said. I turned around only to see him and his whole team back on their feet and ready to go. "You Titans really can't take a hint!" Ok, now I was getting annoyed. My ears pressed flat against my head and a look of annoyance made its way on my face. "tectum, et nunc, accipe eam et vade! Adducam eos," I growled to my team. (Translation: Roof, now! Take it and go! I'll lead them off) I quickly through down a smoke bomb while Hot Shot blasted a hole in the roof. Those who could fly carried those who couldn't as we all scrambled out the large hole and onto the top of the building. We ran to the edge, "whoa, that's a loooooooooong ways down," Speed Demon said in her usual childish voice. She seemed to remind me of Beast Boy, not that I knew him personally, but just from the info that I'd gathered from the past month or so. "Um, how are we going to get down?" Snap Dragon's question brought me back to reality. "I mean there are five of us and only two can fly," she simply stated. "Well T can float," SD replied confidently gesturing to me. "Key word being float, not fly, Speed Demon," I said slightly bursting her bubble. My ears pricked as I heard scrambling coming from behind us, I turned around along with the rest of my team to see the titans coming out of the hole we left. "Well it took you long enough!" I practically shouted. And with that I motioned my team to go back to the base. Quick as lightning Storm and Hot Shot grabbed Snap Dragon and Speed demon along with the Sinotheum and flew away. Only I was left on the building. "Bye lil Jay Jay," I yelled before I leaned backwards, falling from the roof and plummeting twenty stories. I went to my whip as soon as I jumped off, I was pulling a Spider-man. I flicked the whip forward and it wrapped around a light pole. I was swinging forwards now I tugged on the whip and it came loose. I went to my belt and grabbed a small black rounded stick, I put both hands on it, leaned forward and moved my hands sideways. Then and there a motor cycle began to form right in front of me, (lol I kind of copied this from Tron) I had seen this in a movie once and me and Storm being the experts we were in mechanics and such, decided to make it a reality. Next thing I know I'm speeding down the streets of Jump City on a shiny black bike, (looks like the ones from Tron but the lights are red) I took one hand off the handle and grabbed the tube of Sinotheum, then put it in a storage compartment in my bike to make sure it wouldn't get damaged. WHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I look in my mirror. Great, just what I needed, bird-brain following me. Now I was going to have to loose him. He pulled up next to me matching my speed. "Hand over the Sinotheum," he shouted very serious. "In your dreams, Grayson!" I called back. I speed up my ride and raced ahead of him, he was soon back at my side. Perfect he didn't even notice the now raising draw-bridge ahead of us, seeing that he was looking at me. I gave him a even bigger smirk and threw up my bike to its fastest speed, I launched ahead of him, up the draw-bridge and jumped the gap, landing safely on the other side. I heard a screeching halt behind me, but I didn't need to look to know it was Robin's bike NOT following me over the gap. I allowed myself one of my devilish laughs as I drove down the street turned a corner and went into a ally were I parked my bike. "Two minutes" I told myself. As in two minutes to get changed and switch my bike to daily mode, before the cops were on my tail. I changed into a brown leather jacket with a purple v neck tee underneath, a pair of tight jeans and a pair of knee high heel boots, what can I say, I have a thing for heels. I kept on my choker. I went over to a puddle and looked at my reflection, I looked at the jewel in the fishes eye. It was no ordinary gem, it was a glamor charm. A glamor charm can make you look like a different person to other people. But if you choose you can let other people see you as your regular self at the same time. This however was no ordinary glamor charm. I could change how people saw me at will. I looked at my reflection as I slowly watched it change. My short orange hair turned to long rich brown hair complete with a few violet streaks that matched my shirt. My striking blue eyes turned a rich violet, again, matching my shirt. My ears and tail were no longer there, I looked like a total different person, but that was the idea wasn't it? I walked over to my bike and pressed a button on the screen in front of me, bringing it to life. I tapped a button in the corner that said 'daily mode'. I stepped away as the bike began to slowly transform into a more common looking bike, but it was still pretty cool. I got on and drove to my apartment a few blocks down. The rest of the team all lived at the base, but I liked having a place to myself, well mostly anyways. I drove into the parking garage and parked my bike, then walked to the elevator and hitched a ride down. The doors opened and I walked down the sidewalk to the building complex next to it. It was one of the more luxurious apartments. Truth be told, it looked a little out of place in this part of town, considering this is the worst part of Jump, downtown. But I choose to live here for a reason. The nice apartments were cheaper down here, but for most it wasn't worth the risk of getting mugged.... Or murdered. Which was pretty high. I walked through the doors and took the elevator up. Normally I would take the stairs to avoid getting my face on the security cam, but I was tired, so I didn't care. I pressed the last button, 12. And before I new it, DING! I was on my floor. I walked out and three doors down. The apartments were pretty big so the doors were spread really far apart. I got out my keys and unlocked the door. It got caught on something, the door latch. I sighed. "AZURE!" I called. THUMP! I heard, followed by scampering footsteps. "Sorry!" I heard a girl call out. I heard the latch undo then I opened the door to reveal a small girl, about 14 with long blond hair that faded to an ocean greenish blue, her eyes the same color. "Sorry! you spent all day at the base and I forgot to undo it!," she said in a tone that seemed to say 'please don't kill me'. I sighed. "It's fine just remember next time," she looked kind of shocked that I let her down so easily, but hey, I was tired but yet still in a good mood, so I wasn't looking for a fight tonight, because let's face it we've been fighting all week so of course she was timid, which was the exact opposite of her normal self. She locked the door behind me and I plopped down on the couch. I was soon greeted by my two cats and my 'dragon'. No, I'm not from some mystical realm were dragons roam, I simply found him when we were running a lab raid a few years ago. He was a experiment and started as a lizard egg that was infused with 'prehistoric bird' DNA. Then he hatched, and out came the first ever dragon the world has ever seen. He was friendly enough and he grew on me so I decided to keep him. I named him Shard, for the shape of his black scales they looked like glossy shards of black glass. "Shard," I said greeting him. "Nova, Isis," I said next looking to my cats. Nova was black with amber eyes, while Isis was a Siamese with violet. She is where I got the idea for my own violet eyes. "Azure, where's my phone?" I asked. "It's on the table in the kitchen," she replied this time back to her confident self. "Go get it," I said. And she went to grab my phone then was back. She handed me my phone then sat back on the couch as I got up. I pulled the tube of Sinotheum out of my inside jacket pocket, which I had retrieved from my bike earlier, and inspected it. I turned on my phone Sinotheum still in had, and scrolled through my contacts till I found who I was look for. Blake Cage, A.K.A. Red X "Perfect," I said to myself. You see there is a villain web community, I guess you could call it. Most of it is completely anonymous, it ranges in things from tip lines to advertisements. one can access it through a series of downloads and a bunch of other complicated processes. Heroes have no idea it even exists. So, not only am I a world renown villain but a world class 'trader', in other words people put adds out for stuff they need, I see them, steal the stuff they want, and trade or sell it to them. But their villains! you say, they won't pay for it, they'll take it and run! Well yes this happens on occasion, but not to me. Let's just say the last guy, and the only guy who did it to me, didn't live to tell about it. So no one dares to cheat me, or they will have an unfortunate meeting with my claws! I click on Red X's contact and call him. There is a BEEEEEEEP then a moment of silence and then a "What do you want!" From The other end. "X it's Catty, I got my claws on the Sinotheum you wanted," I said. A moment of silence then "Good, when will we meet up," he replied from the other end. "Slow down X, you have my payment right?" I asked. "Yes," he said "Good then you owe me that and a favor, I ran into those titans on the way out," he grunted. "They weren't a problem were they?" He asked. "Not at all, it was all just fun and games and I had planned to meet then tonight anyways," I said. I had set the Sinotheum down on the table and was inspecting my claws. "Anyways," I said getting back on topic. "Meet me tomorrow night at 12 o'clock sharp, in the alleyway on the corner of Marilyn and 3rd street," I said. "Me and my accomplis will be there. Got it?" I asked. "Gotch ya," he replied. "Good, don't be late, and masks on. We might need them if this thing goes south," I ordered. "What do you mean, South?" He asked. "Two words X. Teen. Titans." I stated. "Right," he said understanding why I wanted to meet with our masks on this time. "That all?" He question. "Yes," I said. "Then Red X out," and with those final words he hung up. "Sooooo we're meeting up with X tomorrow night?" Azure asked stroking one of the cats. "Yes" I said. "So make sure to be home by 10:30."
