Surah Al Baqarah
Muflihoon (those who will be successful without any loss)
Believe in the unseen, perform Salah, spend in charity from what Allah has provided for them, and those who believe in the revelation send to Muhammad (s.a.w) and those sent to previous prophets, and they believe in the Hereafter.
What is success? Achieving and attaining our desired goal. In this world success is wealth, status, cars, sons, education, fame and respect. Muflihoon dont only attain success in this world, but also in the Hereafter. It is fine to have success in this dunya, but the real smart people take this success and make it work in the Hereafter. E.g use wealth in the path of Allah, use status and respect in a positive way
- We should join/maintain relations.
- Don't tell people what to do, while not doing it yourself.
- Doing good is not always easy, so we need to seek Allahs help through patience and prayer.
- You can enjoy, eat and drink from what Allah has blessed you with, but do not waste.
- Allah doesnt need us and our worship, it is we who need Him, and His guidance.
- We have so many blessings that we cannot even count, but these are not the objectives and goals to attain.
- We should hold firmly to the Quran if we want to be rightly guided and successful.
- Knowledge, guidance and following the guidance are all needed to be successful.
The creation of mankind
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know.
And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."
They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise."
(Quran: 2:32 )
Banu Israel
Banu Israel were the chosen people of their time, they were the ummah before Muhammad (s.a.w) came to this world. They were given so many blessings. They were saved from the Pharaoh who had subjected them to torment by killing their sons and sparing their daughters. When Musa (a.s) was taken away for 40 nights, these people started committing shirk, and even after that Allah says He forgave them so that they may be grateful. They were given the shade of the clouds. They were blessed with Manna and Salwa but they wanted the basic vegetables. Because of all these transgressions, in speech and action, they have earned the anger of Allah (Maghdhubi Alayhim).
