I locked it

"Goodnight mum," I say.
"Goodnight" mum replied, "did you lock the door?"
"Yes, I did," I said concerned.

I listened to mum's footsteps trail off as she walked away. I lay in bed, unable to sleep. I closed my eyes and eventually fell asleep. I had a bad dream, a nightmare. I dreamt that someone came into the house while I was sleeping and went into Lily's room (my sister) and took her away into the night, then the person laid her onto this bed in the middle of the woods, in the middle of the night and he got out a knife. By this point, I was trying to wake up and was moving around in my bed wrestlessly, that her dog, Lurch had jumped off the bed.

"IVY" Screamed my mum "IVY"
I jolted up from my bed. Relieved I had woken up. Hoping it was only a nightmare.
"IVY" Screamed mum again "GET HERE NOW"

Now I wasn't so sure it was a dream, if only I didn't wake up I would have known my mother's reaction and known if it was real or just a nightmare.
I put on my slippers and ran down stairs to see why mum was calling. Mum ushered me into my sisters room and by this point, I was really confused. But what I saw could never be unseen.

The nightmare was real.

*NOTE FROM AUTHOR* Sorry this was a short chapter. I didn't know what to write, but they will be longer next time. But every so often there may be a short one.
