The Watchtower, Sierra Outpost, 12:04 A.M.

A chilling howl pierced the night air, as she stood at the balcony of the topmost floor of the watchtower; watching over the dark forest where the wall had been. Minutes ago she had infiltrated the tower and disabled the main alarm system with ease. The whole idea of taking the camera with her was just to make to more dramatic.

The fourteen soldiers of the USTA that were guarding the tower – dead. Weak people don’t deserve to live. She thought as she moved closer to the edge. Her next task was nonetheless easy, except for a slight distraction which she took care of in no time. She was to seek the password from Gorswold Gregory – or how shall she put it, take the password from him which she did with just some more touch of brutality.

The iron bars which Gorswold activated were no match for her strength, bending it open effortlessly. The next series of actions were deliberately instructed to her by the Seer. Using the password she was to operate the complex super computer and gain access to the hidden floor just above which contains the main power supply for the walls and the rest of the district.

The power outage and destruction of the wall was just a bonus of their complex plan. What she really needed to retrieve was an object that supplied the energy. A tiny, cylindrical canister containing the antimatter technology was the reason that mankind was safe for a hundred years. The antimatter which was discovered by some witty scientist could give off an unlimited amount of energy – enough to put a whole city to light.

Of course no one knows this secret. She thought triumphantly. It were only fools that believe geothermal energy could last that long to fuel up the walls.

At that moment her phone began to ring. She tossed her brunette waves behind her ears as she picked up the call.

“Everything’s as planned,” she said in a rather stoic voice. “I have the Sierra antimatter with me as we speak.”

“You never fail to amaze me my child,” said the seer in a deep yet clever tone. “Proceed to the church right away. You’ll know what to do inside.”

“I shall repent over my sins,” she teased as she switched off the call.

The once serene breeze blowing through her body suddenly became more violent as monotonous howls erupted from the forest below her. Miles away, forest birds began flying escaping the woods – up into the night sky as if in a hurry to avoid their impending doom.

She leaned over the balcony and saw with her own eyes the horror that had almost erase the human population forever. Tall, dark figures moved with unmatched speed through the forest, waking the unwary animals as they pass. Even the most dangerous of species cowered at the doom these creatures brought as they run wildly towards the end of the forest.

This is just a taste of what is to come. She smiled, thinking about the next horror she was to unleash from the church. She peered down from where she was standing, carefully, measuring. 70… 80 feet fall. She could feel the adrenaline consume her once again as she stood on the edge of the balcony. Spreading her arms apart like an eagle ready to fly, she closed her eyes and released herself down into the forest; the horror-filled air striking violently at her as she descended.

Somewhere beneath the shadows of the balcony, a figure moved. It was in fact watching all along as the mysterious lady talked with someone over the phone. So, the devil’s going to meet an old friend inside a church. The figure thought before retreating back to the darkness which was its hiding place.
