I received the most devastating news of my life at around 3:45 this morning. Ian didn't survive the night. Carlisle says he woke up at 3, and could hardly breath. He didn't survive.

Here we all are now, in the clearing in the Forks woods. Maverick is holding me instead of Paul, because Paul knows I need my family and friends right now. Maverick's cold hand just runs up and down my back, trying to soothe my sobs. It doesn't work. I just burry my face into my friend's chest and bawl.

Hampton pulls me into a tight embrace as the people Carlisle hired begin hurrying my baby boy. My sons deepen as my breathing becomes hard. I rise back and Hampton backs away- in fear.

"Your eyes...." he mutters. "They're red."

"No heartbeat," Maverick adds. "Carlisle, call Aro. We have us a vampire, again. Damn, stay with one species."

Carlisle nods before he flashes away. Maverick takes my hand because Hampton is suddenly scared of me.

I flash away from everyone, and I go to my room at the Cullen's. I grab a sheet of paper, and a pencil- I'm dumping Paul.

Dearest Paul Anthony Lahote,
I love you, I really do. This death of my Ian has hit me devastatingly hard. I am a Vampire now, I think this change is permanent this time.
I am leaving, for a while or maybe forever. I am writing to break up. You call Rachel, beg for her to move back. Bring my stuff to Forks, back to the Cullen's. Sell the house. I'm not coming back.
Goodbye,
Jodi Cullen-Volturi.

I flash it outside, and put it in the mailbox. My eyes scan all around me, making sure I am alone before I flash back to Ian's small grabs. My venom stays in my eyes before I flash away from Washington.

I don't stop running until I am in Brooklyn, New York. I wish Laurent were alive. I shake the thoughts from my head as I look around the small-ish New York City before I smell a ton of blood.

I enter an alley, and find a man brutally beating a woman. Once he finishes raping her, I throw him against the brick wall, and sink my teeth into his neck. His screams fade as he slowly dies.

The woman looks terrified but thanks me fo saving her- somewhat. I didn't stop him, because I didn't want to see the lady naked. So much for that. She is stark naked. I smile sadly at her before running off.

Maverick Cullen.

"Guys!" I shout from Jodi's room.

"Mav," Esme coos as they all come up. "What's up?"

"Jodi...." I mutter, feeling hurt. "She's gone. She left us a note."

Dearest Cullen's,
By the time you read this letter, Paul will have his and I will be GONE. I'm leaving. Ian's death has quite an impact on me. It KILLED me, literally. The vampire venom from being Marcus's daughter is what saved me, and turned me a vampire.
I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going.
Goodbye, love you.
Jodi Cullen-Volturi.

"She put Cullen back in her name before leaving," I say. "She's gone."

Rosalie tries to come closer, but I back away. I glare at her before I go back to that clearing- the last place we saw Jodi, where she turned into a vampire.

"Aro is keeping an eye out," Carlisle says as he finds me. "Marcus is actually worried, believe it or not."

"He has grown to know Jodi," I say. "She is lovable, she was born like that."

"I wish I knew where she is," Carlisle sighs. "Wherever she is, I hope she's okay."

I wipe my mouth after feeding on another rapist. Instead of hear, the victim hugs me and she runs off to find her family. The poor girl is only fifteen, she told me. She just got her virtue violently stolen from her. The man beat her first.

I walk into the Brooklyn apartment I rented just an hour ago, and lock the door behind me. Between then and now, I've robbed a hospital blood bank and fed off ten rapists. Brooklyn is bad for criminals. I'll be feeding good.

Alice's name pops on my cellphone when it starts ringing to Imagine Dragons - Radioactive. I press ignore before putting the device on silent and on charge.

I sit in my room at my desk, happy I left. A frown finds my face when I think of Ian and his unmarked grave. If we had marked it, hunters would wonder what kind of monsters would burry their child in the woods instead of a cemetery.

My phone rings again, but I see it and not hear it. Volturi Castle is the name, and I ignore the call. I don't want to talk to anybody.

I finally turn my phone off for the night, and I grab a book Maverick bought me. It is one of my old witchcraft books. A sad smile forms as I flip through the pages throughout the night.
