<Jason's pov>
(A/N if you guessed Jason you were right :3)
"Good luck," Mitch smiles and slaps me on the back after giving me Evie's address. I turn around to say thank you but he's already making out with Jerome. I laugh to myself and head out the front door. I start the car and the radio comes on blasting, scaring the hell out of me.
As soon as I pull into the driveway, my palms get all sweaty and I start to rethink this. No, I'm supposed to be all calm and cool and stuff. Why is a girl doing this to me? I pick up the bouquet of flowers and look at myself in the rear view mirror. I run my fingers through my hair and sigh. After sitting there for a good ten minutes, I finally muster the courage to get out of my car and I do.
I ring the doorbell and its one of those really long ones that go like ding-dong ding-dong in different pitches. That's kind of an old doorbell sound like one I'd expect at my grandmother's house. Speaking of old things, I wonder if she has a grandfather clock, it seems like the kind of house to have one. I'm lost in thought and almost don't notice the door opening. "Jason?" she asks.
"Evie?" I imitate her. She laughs. "So what brings you here?" "Actually, yes. Um I was wondering if the prettiest girl around wanted to go on a date with me this weekend," I smile, trying to look confident instead of freaking out in my mind. "Who me?" she blushes. "Absolutely," she says, handing me her phone number. "See you them," I say, turning away. "Bye!" she calls. "Good bye!" I yell back.
////////////NEXT DAY/////////////
We decided to go to the zoo. There is a really nice one here in LA and it's a beautiful day. I pull up into her driveway for the second time this week and open the car door for her as she gets closer. She looks really cute in the white sundress she's wearing. "Hi," she smiles. "Hey," I say back. "You look really nice." She blushes a little. "Thanks."
We make small talk on the way there and I help her get out of the car. "So, I've never actually been to a zoo," she says. "Really? Didn't you have a childhood?" I joke. She laughs and I hand over money for our tickets. "No, Jason, let me pay," she begs. "No you're with me," I smile and hold out my arm. She takes it and we walk through the gates.
"So, where do we go first?" she asks excitedly. "Well, I personally love the aquarium," I say, pointing to its location on the map. "Onwards!" she yells and speeds ahead. I laugh and follow along. When we get there, we find out there's a cool thing where you can touch sting rays and turtles. (A/N idk if they have that in LA but we have sting ray bay here in Memphis) We walk into the room with the tank and peer over the edge. It has a cool rocky waterfall and raised sides that the animals are swimming on. "Why don't you touch one?" I prompt Evie. "Alright," she smiles and puts her hand over the water, ready for the next sting ray. A big gray one comes by and she pets its back with two fingers as we were instructed.
"Eww, it's soft and squishy!" he yells. We get states from around the room but I don't really care, I'm having fun. "I wanna touch a turtle," she decides. "Did you know turtles can breathe through their butts," I say. "No, really?" she laughs. Yes! She's just as immature as I am!
"Anymore weird facts?" she asks when we're on our way out. We had been there most of the day and, from what I can tell, she likes the zoo. "Puffins make a restroom in their little borrow thing," I say, trying to remember to the google page. (A/N good job Jason looking up animal facts before your first date) "You can get that if you want," I say gesturing to her ringing phone. She nods and takes it out of her purse. "I love approaching nirvana!" I say, referencing her ringtone. She frowns. "Its Mitch, he knew I was busy. Why would he call me?" she wonders aloud.
"Hello?...Wait what?... Slow down!... We'll be right there...Okay...Okay, bye."
"What happened?" I ask, suddenly concerned. "Mitch and Jerome got into a crash, we need to get to the hospital," she says nervously, biting her lip. That was really cute. Okay wait I can't get distracted right now. "What happened? Is it bad?" I ask. "I don't know Mitch didn't say," she sighs. "Lets go."
<Jerome's pov>
"Jerome!" I hear Mitch call from downstairs. "What?" I yell back. "I want prizzaaaaa!" I roll my eyes. "Fine lets go!"
I turn up the radio full blast from the passenger's seat when Ain't it Fun comes on. "You're really cute when you sing," Mitch giggles, looking at me. I blush. "I'm always cute," I joke.
"Oh my god, Mitch!" I yell when I big truck pulls out right in front of us. Then everything goes white.
I gasp, waking up from my dream. "You okay, babe?" Mitch asks. "Yeah, I'm... I'm fine. I just had a bad dream," I say, scratching my neck. Much to my dismay, I truck pulls out right in front of us and everything goes white.
Oh my gosh, Jerome had a premonition.
