I rested my arms on the side of the ship we were on the wind from the ocean flowing through my hair. I can't believe it my whole life is a lie me a Lin Kuei what even is that!? What about my real family!? I put my head down until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see Jason.
He looked at me with sympathy "you know it's pretty cool Soaps it's like you're magic you know different." I smiled at him I knew he was only trying to help. His green eyes sparkled at me. Jason even if we aren't siblings he will forever be my best friend. All of a sudden two big arms went around Jason and I shoulders.
"Hey you two so looks like we are all entering the tournament together how neat is that!" It was our Uncle Jax's son Tyson. Tyson like his father was bigger built but completely different from him, he was all about fun but his father raised him to fight. Wait tournament I don't even know what this tournament is! My mother came over to us. She pointed to a island in the middle of the ocean.
She said "There we will find our companions honey there is home." I looked over great I guess I'm ready to meet my family. The ship stop next to the island as my mother,father, Jason, Uncle Jax, Tyson, and I all got off.I followed my parents as they led me to a temple of monks. We walked in to see a built Asian man with long brown hair and a ribbon around his head fight a monk. A monk!? I ran over as everyone watched me. I got between them and screamed.
"Guys there's no excuse to fight!" The guy laughed at me.
"who are you little one? " Before I can answer my father came over
"Liu Liu Kang is it you look at you!" He laughed as they both hugged. Really my parents know these people. Suddenly a burst of lightning appeared what on my gosh! I freaked out as I saw a tall man with glowing eyes he had a hat on. He walked towards me as I backed up. Jason stood in front of me.
"Back off of Soaps will ya you're scaring her!" The man looked at Jason sternly
"I knew her long before you did as her mother." I pushed Jason aside
"My mother?? Who are you?" He put his hand on my shoulder.
"Raiden the thunder God your mother asked me to watch you as I did from a far glad to see you are well." I looked into his eyes as they glowed this whole world is strange to me.
"Where is my birth mother is she here?" He looked away from me I heard a voice behind me
"Dead she died protecting you" What no! I turned around to see a blue ninja! What he looked at me than he instantly bowed to me. What?
"I have waited to find you our whole family is gone but us Suofeiya I have longed for you my dear sister." Sister him! I looked at my mother and father as they nodded. I asked him
"Who are you may I asked? "
"Sub-Zero born of the same mother as you we possess the same powers I've been told." Immediately I heard another voice.
"If she is to fight along side of us than why don't we see what she has got?" I looked over to see a woman walked over truly the most beautiful woman I've seen. Black long hair, small eyes, and a blue shirt that showed off her chest a lot and revealed her stomach than a long blue skirt and high blue boots. She had a blue masked just covering her mouth. She walked over to me.
My mother stood in front of her "Katana you cannot expect her to know right off the bat how to fight!" She looked at me.
"than I will train if we win this I can finally have my throne back." Throne what!?
"What happened to it?" Somehow I had courage in me when this woman terrified me. She looked over to me.
"Shao Kuhn happened my mother gave birth to a baby to him but produced a girl than Lizima a treachous snake to the throne convinced him to throw my mother and I out when she gave him a son my mother was killed and my sister lost forever but I know that the Royal Family will only be a memory if we do not stop him the true Royal family!" As she said that all the monks cheered everyone clapped. Wow this world has so much trouble. The monks showed us our rooms after that. I stood outside my tower it was a weird tower but pretty it was all stone and in the distance I saw lights and heard noise. Katana came over to me. She pointed at the lights.
"That is where they all celebrate. We will be going there tomorrow for you to see but you will not be fighting yet but it is your birth right this is your fight as well as mine." I smiled at her
"What are they celebrating anyways?"
"Princess Iriana birthday." Oh. Well than. The next morning I got woken up by Katana. She was ordering me around at 6 in the morning why!
" You cannot fight in that." She motioned to all of me. I looked at my skirt and shirt.
"I don't want to fight at all but what do you suggest than." She smiled at me as she circled around me and looked me up and down. She pulled out a bunch of fabric until she made a small white dress with maple leaves on it, armor around my hip and arms. Looked at my necklace for a second. I questioned her staring.
"What?." She looked at me.
"This is a Lin Kuei crystal your mother must of given you this its beautiful." I looked at my necklace I always wore it since I was small I never realized how different it was. She glared at my heels I was wearing. She quickly grabbed these green flats to give to me. I quickly put them on they were very comfy. We quickly headed downstairs to see everyone standing there waiting for us. Jason walked over to me shirtless.
I poked his chest "Nice pecks!" He laughed at me.
"Nice dress." I laughed we all headed over to the tournament. It was like a battle zone. It was a white stage basically with creatures of every kind cheering at people fighting. Oh my gosh I looked over to see the winner of the night. He was gorgeous and I mean gorgeous. He was tall and pale blonde beautiful hair fell over his face he smiled with his yellow eyes. He looked at me for a second we locked eyes. Katana grabbed me immediately.
"Are you crazy why are you staring at him?" I smiled at her.
"And cute." She smacked me ow smacked me!
"Not cute that is Prince Feng he is far from sweet he is the exact replica of Shao Kuhn stay away from him." I looked over to notice two thrones Feng sat at one of them next to him was a beautiful girl. She had gray eyes and long brown hair. She wore a yellow kimono unlike her brother who was just shirtless and wearing black pants. She waved to her subjects that must be the princess. Between them stood a old man with a long white beard. Katana whispered to me
"That's Shang Tsung. Stay away from him too." We watched as another fight happened except this one I couldn't stomach after this cyborg ripped this guy throat out I ran out away from the crowd. Ew so gross I can't. I sat there until I felt a presence I quickly turned to see the prince.
"Are you alright lovely?" He held out his hand for me I smacked it away.
"Don't even try Feng I know who you are!" He frowned at me.
"Than you should know who you are speaking to Lin Kuei." My eyes went wide he knows!
"Relax I won't say anything to my dad. If he came to one of these he would know." He put both of his hands up in defeat. Wait he won't. I stopped and looked at him.
"Why not" I asked.
He chuckled at me "Because no fun in telling him everything right?" Who was this prince before I can say anything I saw my brother come over Sub-Zero he glared at Feng.
"You should know the rules attacking her without a round is breaking the rules." Feng glared back
"Do not tell me the rules my father wrote them." Sub-Zero pulled me away. As we were walking we passed three people one currently exchanged a look with my brother. The leader was all white with black eyes and had marking on his face. Behind him was a yellow ninja with glowing eyes. Than after him was a girl with black short hair, red eyes, and very revealing clothing. A black basically bra, tiger print shorts, long black boots, and a red jacket with white fur on the hood. The yellow ninja glared at my brother as we left.
I turned to my brother "what was that? Who were they? " He stopped walking to talk to me.
"Quan Chi and his soldiers." That answer wasn't enough for me.
"No I saw how the one looked at you."
He sighed at my questions clearly not wanting to talk to me about it.
"My dear sister there are things you would never understand." I stood in front of him so he couldn't keep walking.
"Try me" I crossed my arms. This guy has no idea who I am.
"Scorpion family was killed by our family in a way he holds me responsible, I would hope my little sister would stay out of it." That made sense but oh my gosh. I wanted to know more.
"And the girl and why do they follow this Quan Chi guy? "
He sighed again. "Lola she was part of the Black Dragon Clan that Quan Chi grabbed at the second she died. It is said she is very dangerous. He brought both of them back from the depths of the nether realm that's why they follow him. " He could do that so they both are dead. Oh my gosh. Katana and Lui Kang came running at us to shorten the conversation.
Katana turned to me "where were you, your parents are worried we must return now. " We quickly came to everyone my mother and father ran to me as they hugged me. I guess I'm a target maybe that's why they were scared. Apparently I was missing the whole tournament. So we decided to go on our way back to the temple. As I was walking I started to pass a girl. She was flawless. Wait it was the princess. I saw on her head a flower crown. While being distracted of course stupid me tripped at her feet. She quickly stopped in her pace. I looked up to see her gray eyes glaring into my soul.
"And who are you?. I heard her voice it was with daggers coming in every direction.
" I uh... " I slowly lost my words as I got up.
She looked me up and down "you are the one my brother was distracted by hm... ". Crap wait he was!? She circled around me.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to distract. " I put my hands up.
She put her hand in my face "enough your a earth realm defender aren't you. How awful honestly darling be on the winning team. " She laughed at me. Alright brat seriously. How could someone so pretty be so mean.
"Say that now I'm gonna beat you just you wait. " She gasped at me.
"You excuse me you. " Her eyes slowly went to my necklace but before she could say anything Raiden appeared behind me.
"Princess I don't think your father would be pleased if you spoiled the tournament for him by breaking the rules would he? " She started at me for a second than flipped her brown curls.
"Very well Raiden but keep this one away from me. " Seriously me! Ugh Raiden gave me a look as he pulled me away. Raiden and I were walking far behind the group.
"I didn't save you for nothing Sophia we need you, it is time to be a adult and start acting like it. " He said to me.
"She was the one being a child! " I screamed.
"The princess doesn't fight in the tournament. There is no reason to fight with her what if she found you out? Than what? ". He had a point.. I stopped.
" When does my training start"? I asked clearly they need me.
"Tomorrow Katana will train you. You fight in two days." Two days!?
"That's not enough time are you mad!? " He put his hand on my shoulder.
" It is in your blood I've watched you your whole life I've seen you just as much as you had. " Great my life changes tomorrow.
