"Dempsey for the love of G—"

Before Alex could finish, Zach quickly untied the cloth off of his eyes. He adjusted his sight, which was quite dark and blurry, but soon turned clear. It was such a breathtaking view. The sky was painted with dark colours and a bit of orange: dusk. "At least I didn't wake up early for something disappointing." Alex joked.

Zach looked at the shorter boy beside him, a little giddy smile on his face. "Do you like it? I've been awake since 3A.M. for this—and so that you can see it too." He grabbed Alex by his shoulder and pulled him closer, the boy almost dropping his crane.

"Is that all, Zach?" The red-head said with a bland tone. He rolled his eyes in disappointment, he raised his crane and playfully smacked his best friend's head with it. "You woke me up at five so that I could watch this crap? Dude I can literally look up photos that are better then this right now." Alex continued, ironically admiring the view. Where were they, anyway? All he got as a response was Zach swaying his head as he chuckles. Zach laughing in a way always made Alex blush. He never denied that his best friend was attractive, because it was a fact. A fact that everyone in his school knew.

Alex let out a small squeak when Zach squeezed his shoulder, taking a lot of air in. The jock stopped for a moment, thinking he did something bad. He took a peak, only to see his best friend blushing and not batting an eye at him. This was too much for Zach, because he believes  that being too cute is a crime, And Alex broke the law. "Actually, I also kidnapped you here for a good reason."

He let go of the crippled teen, going back to the car and took something under the driver's seat, rested near the pads. Alex shudders as he waits with the cold wind, hugging himself for warmth. The grass danced under the painted sky, moving with the wind. It didn't take Zach a long time to find what he needed. Alex turned around, smiling as his friend walked towards him with a bouquet and a video game in hand.

Wait, what?

Alex had to blink a few times, making sure that he wasn't dreaming.

Zach continued to walk towards him with a smile, looking down a little bit flustered.

He then pinched himself, and it felt real. It felt very real.

The jock stopped in front of Alex, whose mouth was ajar. The boy was flabbergasted. Maybe this was the wrong decision, but Zach had no intentions of bailing. There was no way he'd bail out now, after all that happened, today's gotta be it.

No. This wasn't real. Alex couldn't let out a word, silently stuttering as he turned redder and redder. It was shown obvious because of the car's headlights. The teen's eyes kept on blinking.

"I know, I know—"Dempsey, this isn't like you!"" Zach impersonated his friend, waving his hands around and acted like a goof. "But, it's been the elephant in the room for quite a while, Standall. And it's either take it or leave it for me. And it's you, Alex."

The redhead closed his mouth instead, both hands on his crane as he waited for an explanation.

"An-and I know it's stupid for me for bringing flowers." Zach looked at Alex, then at the ground. "My sister said it would help to woo you over." He whispered the last part, making both of them laugh a little.
