A couple of notes before we start.

1) While this story was on its hiatus it reached 1k views which is incredible! Thank you!

2) You asked for an update so here it is :) I tried to make it long but I wrote it on my phone so I can't really gauge the length.

And for anyone who thinks Harry and Lina might be moving kind of fast just remember this story takes place in the past so everyone married really early in life and so really all of this is normal. Romeo and Juliet was a 3 day love affair let's not forget! Haha

Sorry that was a really long author's note, here's the chapter :)

Two weeks later

Lina.

"So you are heading into the town again?" My mother asked, noticing as I placed one of my coats around myself, tying the knot in the front by my neck.

"Yes. I made a trip two weeks ago announcing how I want to have a close alliance with them and I plan to root my cause." I explained to her, fixing my hair in the large mirror of her bed chambers.

"Very well. I'm glad you are starting to think rationally." She said, fixing her already perfect hair. I tried to contain my eye roll at what I knew were about to be my next words and what her response would be.

"You were right. On certain matters." I cut in before she could say anything to my slight ego booster. "I do need to think about what is beneficial for my country, and forming an amicable alliance with the town would help since they are so close in location. I know we have trading agreements with them, but I thought to make it more friendly with them." I explained to her. She nodded her head, soaking in my words.

"Very well. I do not care how you go about things, just as long as the end product is one in favor of this country. Now run along, I hired you a permanent escort. Mr. Horan is waiting for you by the entrance." She informed me, before turning to inspect her features in the large mirror.

Since she was turned away I took this time to finally roll my eyes at her. I wasn't doing this for solely "the benefit of my kingdom". I was mainly doing it for Harry.

But mother didn't need to know that.

**

"Afternoon, Mr. Horan. I assume you know our destination?" I asked the blonde haired fellow who only seemed to be a few years my senior, as I exited the castle. He bowed to me, removing the hat from his head.

"Yes, Princess. The Queen informed me that you were to return to the town today. And please, call me Niall, "Mr. Horan" sounds too formal." He smiled at me, waving the name off.

"Very well, Niall." I smiled at him. He offered his hand to me as he led us over to the carriage, keeping his hand extended as he helped me in. He closed the carriage door as he moved to mount behind the horses in the front. I felt the carriage lurch forward as the horses began to trot forward and I took this time to become lost in my thoughts.

How long exactly did I plan to keep this up for? My mother would surely get suspicious as my trips to the town became frequent for weeks on end. She might begin to question my motives and my mother was not stupid. She would figure it out soon enough.

And Harry. How long would we be able to carry our relationship out? Was it even a relationship? Or is this just a random fling? Everything was uncertain for us yet I was putting so much on the line for us. My mother's wrath was not something one wants to experience. I can only imagine what she would do to Harry if she ever found out. I know she would cast the punishment of our actions solely on him, and that was a great fear of mine. But our being together is worth all of this trouble, right?
