The new key

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock annoyingly beeping at max volume. I noticed I was sleeping on the floor for some reason. Oh yea, I remembered how Natsu passed out so I let him use my bed. Looking closely, it seemed as if he just probably used up too many magic energy. I now realize that he used his dragon slayer secret art, flame lotus, which I rarely see him use. Was my safety really that much of a priority?

"Lucy... Lucy". I hear Natsu whisper. "Yes?". "Those guys... they were from that dark guild in the next town." I saw that they all looked like a gang but I had rarely noticed they were part of a dark guild. "Princess, i wish to have punishment." I hear from a girl-like voice from behind me.

"VIRGO?!" I yelled, shocked. "Why are you here?". "To come to your aid, princess" She said. "Which is?" I answered. "Princess, I found that one of those dirty old men had a gate key." Virgo handed me a gate key with a shiny blue glossy finish. Odd. I've never seen such a key. It's not silver yet it's not a zodiac either. I eagerly try to summon it. Open, it summoned without me even saying it's name, not like I even knew.

"Fear not, you have not summoned me." A girl with light blue pigtails and a pink frilly skirt appeared. "I am an artificial key, a legendary one at fact, who carries more power than the zodiacs." I was confused and shocked at the fact she was 'artificial'. "What do you mean, artificial?" I asked. "Well you see, I was created as an experiment you could say". Natsu looked up and said, "neat! You don't suppose you have any fire powers huh?" The girl smiled and said, " Actually quite the opposite, I'm the celestial spirit of the element of water." And I thought one weird water spirit was too much. "Anyways, what's your name?" I asked. "Oh you can call me Marina." She said.

"I should also mention that my key requires excessive amounts of magic to use. So you shouldn't use it unless it's an emergency." "Nah, Lucy will be just fine as long as I'm with her!" Natsu boasted. "Yea right!" I said with sarcasm. Although I actually do believe I'm safe with him around. "Sorry to cut the chit chat but I need to leave now" she said. "You too Natsu. Your all right now so get on going." I demanded.

Ah, I don't even know what the heck just happened. I think a great time at the mall might be a good idea to waste time.

I can't believe this amazing haul I got. I got a dress for Wendy, a jacket for Erza, and tacos for Natsu and Happy. Speaking of them, I believe there is a Team Natsu meeting at the docks like Natsu said. I'll start heading there now.

I was walking towards the corner between a Bakery when I saw a shadow. "Is anyone there?" I asked cautiously. I turned to see a guy following me behind a bush. Requip! I saw at a distance that Erza had noticed the guy and she quickly went into her Black Wing Armor. "It's Titania, queen of the fairies!" The guy shrieked and ran away. "I didn't even attack him yet", Erza laughed. "Wow your that scary?" I joked.
"Come on," Erza said, "Let's go meet the rest of the guys".

We rushed to the meeting site at the docks and told them what happened. "Are you hurt Lucy?" Wendy said worried. I saw Natsu thinking in the background. "Anything wrong?" I asked him. "No, it's just weird how you got attacked twice." He said while looking at me. "Twice?" Erza questioned. Oh yea. I forgot to tell them what happened the night before. "Wait, now that I think about it, the 2nd guy had the same guild mark as the 1st people" I told them. "Whoever they are, they're messing with fairytail!", Natsu said with a fierce expression.

"Anyways, about that quest", I commented. "Yes." Erza replied. "We should probably cancel it". I've caused them so much trouble already. I didn't want to let them lose their jobs because of me. I quickly replied, "No! I can just stay at the guild. I won't trouble you anymore." I know I really didn't mean that, but as much as I love these guys, I can't be selfish. "As if, Lucy!", Natsu yelled. "You are part of our team, and we aren't going to abandon you!" I had felt such kindness from those words. "Aye sir!", I heard Happy say with a smile. "Anyways, I bet your darling prince would come and rescue you, Lucy". I couldn't believe the words Happy just said. I wanted to kick him as hard as possible, yet I also want to thank him for his kindness.

"And who might that prince be?", I turned around to see Gray and Juvia arrive. "Juvia?", I asked why she was here since I thought this was a team Natsu quest, although she always tags along often now that I think about it. "Juvia wanted to come along and support Gray and his team of course!", Juvia said while staring at 'her beloved'. "Oh yes, I forgot I had invited her...", Erza whispered. "Oh jeez thanks...", Gray said sarcastically. "Here comes the boat for Hargeon!" Happy said excitedly when the boat seemed to be getting into view. "All right! Let's go!" I had a huge smile as I knew that these guys were always going to care for me.
