A new beginning

I felt the warmth of the sun on my face as I slowly sat up. I looked around to see Sasha still sound asleep. I sighed as I slowly got up and walked to the dresser, I pulled out a clean uniform and got dressed quickly making sure that I didn’t wake her up. I felt bad for her, after all she was made to run until she dropped last night and she needed the rest. I walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, My raven black bangs fell over my left eye. I brushed my hair but my bangs stayed in its spot. My green-blue eyes stood out against my olive skin. Realizing I would never get my hair to do as I wished I sighed as left the bathroom and walked out the door. I stretched as I walked down to the mess hall. I opened the doors to see that no one was here.

“I'm probably slept in late or I woke early,” I said aloud.

“You're just up early,”

I turned around to see Commander Erwin sitting down at one of the benches eating breakfast . I saluted as he walks over to me and smiles.

“ Remy, its to early for that so relax,” He said sweetly

I relaxed as I smiled back at him. “So Commander why you up this early?” I asked as I sat down in front of him.

“Well one, I was hungry and two, I came to see you.” He said as finished his food and went to stack the tray.

“Me Sir?” I asked confused, I hoped it wasn’t because of last night......

“Yes Remy, I wanted inform you that you are joining Levi's squad,” Erwin said simply as he got up and walked to me. He rested his hand on my shoulder “And call me Erwin, please,”

I froze, I felt my heart beat quicken as looked at Erwin with a huge smile on my face.

“Thank you! Oh Com-Erwin!” I giggled, I couldn’t hold my excitement anymore. I hugged Erwin as I kept giggling, and as I did this I guess I caught him off guard because all he did was stand there with his body stiff. I pulled away and planted a kiss on his cheek making his face turn a nice shade of pink.

“Well then umm R-Remy, I guess we should go if you want to meet squad,” Erwin stuttered as he looked away from me.

I couldn't help but to chuckle a little, to see the commander like this, it was cute. We walked out to see other cadets making their way to the mess hall. I sighed as I saw Jean and Reiner look at me as Erwin and I walk past them.

I mouth to them that I'll tell them later about it and Reiner nodded as Jean just looked curiously pissed.

“So Erwin,” I said softly

“Yes Remy?” He responded

“So where are we going?” I asked curiously.

“To meet your new squad Remy,” He said as he grabbed for my hand and held it.

I looked at him and quickly looked away, “Holy shit, the commander is holding my hand, My Hand!” I thought to myself trying not to freak out.

“Are you OK Remy?” He asked concerned.

“Me? Oh im just excited that's all,” I said, it was the truth. I was excited to be finally in the survey crops but the special operation squad? That was big thing, and I heard that the only cadet that actually made it to the squad and that was …....Eren.

“Erwin...” I said as I slipped my hand from his.

He looked at me as we got to the carriage, He opened the door and I climbed in, and shortly after he followed in closing the door.

“Yes?” He said as he looked at me, His blue eyes staring into my green-blue ones.

“Is Eren on this squad also?” I tried to sound like I didn’t care, but I did, but I didn’t want him to know this.
