Tears of the fallen

I rolled over and opened my eyes to see that the bed was empty. I sat up and stretched. As I pulled off the blanket and felt a breeze where there shouldn’t be.

“Ahh shit I'm naked” I said as I covered myself back up. “Oh yea, now I know why...” I thought as I grabbed my clothes. As I got dressed I noticed a note on the desk. It read my name in bold letters on the front. As I fixed my shirt, I walked over and grabbed the note opening it to read it out aloud.

Remy,

I didnt want to wake you, you looked so peaceful. Left for the expedition, wont be back until later.

p.s before you leave my room, make my bed.

Levi.

“Well that’s nice they left without me.” I said as I placed the note in my front pocket of my jacket. I made his bed as he asked and left his room going downstairs.

“Hmm the place is starting to look messy, Perta and the boys better love me for doing their chores,” I said as I went to grab the cleaning supplies.

“Ugh I'm finally done!” I said as I sat down on the floor in the living room looking around and nodding in approval on my cleaning. Since early this morning to mid afternoon almost evening I spent my time cleaning. I clean all the rooms even the basement, then I cleaned the whole kitchen, dinning room, and the living room. Then I cleaned the outside of the house and the stables. I felt good as I put the cleaning supplies away.

“Oh Perta and Oluo, even Gunther, Eld all owe me for this,” I chuckled. I even made dinner for everyone too. I went to the kitchen to turn off the stove when I heard horses int the distance. I ran to the window to see Levi, Erwin and Eren stop at the stables to put their horses in their stable.

I ran out outside and waved to them, “Hey you guys came back at the right time, I made dinner and its ready.” I said as Levi walked my way. I looked at him and saw sadness in his eyes. He looked at me and walked past me going toward the house. I felt a deep pain in my chest as Erwin and Eren approach me.

“Wheres everyone else?” I asked as Erwin stopped in front of me. He looked upset and he wouldn’t look me in the eyes, I turned to Eren and noticed his eyes were red from crying. I began to panic as I waited for answer.

“They're gone Remy...” Erwin said softly. I felt my heart rise in my throat, I couldn't breathe at all.

“No!” I said as my hand went to my heart, “ they cant be, they're the best of the best, they cant be!” I shook my head not being able to believe what he said.

“The female titan killed them, and its all my fault Remy, I'm sorry,” Eren said as he looked down at the ground. I looked at Erwin and Eren and shook my head, I felt tears run down my face as I looked away.

“Liars!” I screamed as I ran into the house. I heard them call my name but I ignored them. I ran upstairs to my room when I ran into Levi. I fell hard on my back and looked up at him.

“Levi...” I said as I got up, my voice cracked as I spoke. “ Tell me they're not gone please.” I said as I cried.

“They're gone and we cant do anything about it Remy,” he said as I noticed a tears streamed down his face.

I felt my body grow weak as I ran past him and into my room locking my door. As I fell to the floor I heard knocking on my door followed by voices.

“Remy open up, it's me, Erwin,” Erwin said as he knocked on the door, but I just sat on the floor and looked at the door un-phased.

“Remy!” It was Eren's voice that spoke next as they banged on the door.
