"Oh my god! I'm so excited!" A girl with dark brown hair and larger glasses suddenly squeals and dances, making me swerve around her to avoid collision.

I frown and look around the bustling corridor, sure it was Monday morning but I really didn't think the noise would be this bad.

Squeals and laughter bounce around the narrow walls as I fight my way towards my locker.

"N-argh!" I cry out as my heart suddenly clenches painfully.

Quickly, I throw open my locker whilst muttering curses at the sudden pain in my chest, under my breath. My plan was simple and hopefully effective, get in, get my books and run.

Stage 1 was complete, I had officially gotten into my locker.

Stage 2 was proving to be slightly more difficult as bodies behind me were constantly pushed into mine. I clench my jaw at the slight inconvenience before pushing backwards and hurriedly getting my maths books.

Stage 3 was now under way I think as I slam my locker shut and turn to leave-

Gradually, the loud and giddy conversations fall to quiet and secretive whispers.

A frown mars my face once more as I snap my head around, desperate to see what had quietened everyone down.

Perhaps the principle had made an appearance?

I cry out in pain and drop my bag as my heart clenches again, this time, the pain was crippling.
My sudden noise caused the students near me to glare before turning around again, fascinated by something near the end of the hall.

"Fuck." I mutter as the pain hits me like a wave once more before I slowly pick my bag up and push my way out of the bodies, stuck together like sardines in a tin.

I slowly fight my way out, keeping determined to leave and make my way to maths before I was handed another detention for skipping.

And this plan was well underway too, that is, until my eyes land on a tall and lean figure.

A new student.

My eyebrows furrow as I try to recall what Alissa was telling me about a new guy..
Something.. Wintery?

Winters. I think as I study him.

My hands slowly start to shake as I take in his appearance, perspiration gradually forming in my palms and along the back of my neck.

Loose fitted black jeans covered his legs and a white tee hugs his frame, completed with a black leather jacket which was adorned with a few spiky looking studs. As my eyes make my way up his figure, the shaking in my hands intensify.

Something about him felt so.. powerful and assertive. I couldn't move, I couldn't look away..

I could barely even breathe.

My heart begins pounding ferociously as my eyes drink in his face.

High set cheekbones, a sharp ass jawline, plump lips and cold, emotionless green eyes that looked like they could freeze even Hell over. I watch as he walks along the corridor, head high, shoulders back and hands in his pockets, seemingly ignorant to the curious, envious and amorous stares he was drilled with.

He exuded confidence,
And danger.

My eyes lift up a little more to see raven black hair set in a ruffled and messy fashion on his head, a strand falls over his eye as he strides towards the doors.

He quickly reached the end of the corridor, thanks to his long legs, and begins to open the doors, ignoring the stares still fixated on him.

This time, I study his back.
One thing that caught my attention the most, was his leather jacket.

A vicious looking scorpion with huge fangs and narrowed eyes stare at me, sat below the huge bold text that read
"The Scorpions."

I gulp and feel slightly light headed but relieved as the further he walked away, the less my hands shook and the more calm my heart became.

Fuck. I hate to admit it but I was..
Scared of him, yet McKayla's very rarely scared of anyone.

Terrified was a better word that came even remotely close of what I felt then.

Complete and utter fear was sent to my school, embodied in the figure of

Ace Winters.
