Life is like a rainbow,
Many different colors:
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet
Red is the love I express to my brothers, cooing the youngest to slumber
Orange is a bon fire on a calm summer night, the joy of the laughter, singing with friends
Yellow is a sunflower nestled in the hair of an 8 year old girl, as she cruises along on her bike, her beautiful blond hair peeking out of her helmet, the flower just barely, holding on
Green is the child as she lies in her bed, her mom crying help, her dad
working late nights, her brother praying for the chemo to work, her sister asking why cancer, why?
Blue is for the apron fastened on the woman, as she bustles about every day, praying that the job she holds will provide for her babies, scrubbing houses every day for minimum wage, her eight babies to feed and clothe
Indigo is the vase lying smashed on the floor, two children yelling, and one mother in distress
Violet is the flower, in the center of the bunch, being held by the newly wed woman, as she is held tight and kissed by her new husband, her joy is radiant for she has waited as God has commanded her to
Life is truly a rainbow, everywhere we go, colors we will find
