Matchmaker Cafe

  Chapter One

There's supposed to be this cafe on 3rd Street that has magical capabilities... It's called the Matchmaker Cafe. There is a lady called Mrs.Fey who can set you up with a boy or girl. Do I believe it? Of course not! Anyone can set you up with a guy and things could work out but a mystic lady?  In New York a lot of crazy people say they have "magical capabilities".  People like that live on the street or in the Subway.

       I can't say that about Mrs.Fey though because she's my grandmother. I'm Rachel Fey and I live in an apartment in Uptown New York. My family is not weird just my grandmother. I don't why but every since she was a little girl people say she had this ability to set up people together... She set my parents together but I think that's just a coincidence. I think.

      See the Matchmaker Cafe is a proud family owned business since... I don't when.  Two years ago (2012) the business took a sharp turn to the right. Meaning business wasn't doing well. So my Mom and Dad were like Gran-gran loves putting boys and girls together and I'm sure people could use her advice.  After that they advertised her match making powers and business had been booming!

       I'm sixteen so unfortunately I'm able to work there which isn't a total because I do one of my passions there... COOKING! I just love how magical cooking is. How you can simple ingredients, mix them and PRESTO- food!  I'm also a waitress too. 

      Now, you would think since my gran-gran is a relationship guru I would constantly be asking her for advice for boys... Well I want to be independent and strong! Actually... I don't know why I don't ask her?

Oh well... I feel like singing that song Sabrina Carpenter: Can't Blame A Girl For Trying... That song is the story of my life. (Another song pun).
