I have my drivers license.
I've had it for a while now, but I only really use it when I go out in my parents car. And to be honest, I don't really trust myself with either of their cars. So that's why I usually just bike everywhere.

I jumped on my bike and started to pedal down the street.
It was dark, so I couldn't see very well but tried my best not to swerve onto the road.
I enjoyed the smell of the cold night air, it was refreshing since I'm usually stuck inside being forced to smell chlorine for 2 hours almost every night of the week.

When I got to the arcade, I chained up my bike and retired my loose shoelace.
I dawdled in through the front entry that had a large, colourful neon light that screamed 'ARCADE'.
It was quite a new building, and it got really popular really quickly.
I looked around at all the teenagers and adults playing games and winning prizes at the prize booth. I stepped into the humid building and sat down while I waited for Lilith to arrive.

Around 10 minutes later she walked through the door.
"Hey" she said.
"How are you?" I asked politely.
"Okay, I guess." She said as she picked at her nails.
"This is pretty cool, huh?" I chuckled softly.
Her eyes panned across the room. "Yeah, it's really colourful."

We walked over to a car racing game and sat down on the sticky faux leather seats.
I pushed 2 coins into the coin slot and saw the large 'start' text pop up on the screen. We both tapped our screens and started racing.

"What happened to your head?" She asked as she played the game.
"Oh, I just tripped over when I was biking on my way home." I said as I stared at the screen.
"Ouch."

We played three rounds, and she won all three of them. "Holy shit, you were good at that game." I laughed.
"I've had my practise." She giggled softly.

After playing a bunch of random games, we collected over 200 tickets to use at the prize counter.
"Hi, I'll just get a bottle of coke and some gummy bears, please." I asked the employee.
"I'll have the same, please." Lilith smiled at me, then placed the tickets on the counter.

We sat by a large window at the front of the arcade.
"You know, the last time I went to an arcade, I was with a bunch of my old friends. We were the oldest ones there and a bunch of little kids ganged up on us threw sherbet and root beer in our faces. I was like twelve or something haha." She beamed.

"Wow, you're so different than what I thought." I commented.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She asked.
"Sorry, I just meant that you're usually so much quieter at school. But, I like this version of you better. You should be like this more often." I admitted.
We looked at each other silently for around 10 seconds before she suddenly leant towards me and kissed me.

We both sat back and laughed.
"Well... that happened." I remarked.
"Yeah, it did." She laughed.
Suddenly we were caught off guard when a bike outside suddenly start speeding past. It was too dark to see outside so we just shrugged it off and carried on with the night.

"Oh my goodness, we have to go in the photo booth." She insisted.
"Haha, okay lets go." I said before getting up and taking her hand as she led me there.
We weaved under the curtains of the photo booth and sat down on the red velvet seats.
First, we just took a normal photo, then we stuck our tongues out for the second. And for the third she kissed my cheek.
We stepped out of the booth and laughed at each other's photos when they came out of the machine.

I looked at my phone and realised my mom had called me 4 times and texted me to ask where I was.
"Crap, I'm sorry I should probably go now, I lost track of time." I said as I shoved my gummy bears in the pocket of my hoodie.
"Me too, see you tomorrow." She said as we walked out the building and parted ways.
I sped home on my bike and rushed through the front door. My mom was leaning on the counter looking at a magazine.
"I'm so sorry I'm late home, I lost track of time." I said, panting.
"It's alright, just please answer me next time." My mom said, closing the magazine and placing down on the marble countertop.
I look at my phone and realise I left it on silent. I chuckle to myself and head up to bed.

I had art class first the next day.
I went to my locker and to get some stationary and pushed it closed, before beginning to walk down the hallway.
Before I got into class I saw Marcy at her locker.
"Hey, how are you?" I ask, walking over to her.
"I'm sorry, I have to get to class." She said before slamming her locker and walking past me.
I stood there awkwardly before slowly making my way to class.
