I got home and went straight to sleep. I didn't feel tired but I guess I was.

*NEXT DAY*

I was tossing and turning in my sleep which made me get up, so I went downstairs and saw my dad

"Goodmorning pumpkin," my dad says happily

"Goodmorning dad" I smiled

"So I was thinking about putting mom in the rehab center and you know she needs the help she still drunk from yesterday" dad exclaims

"Yea dad she needs it," I say

"Oh pumpkin you have a letter that came in the mail," my dad says

"Oh really," I said kinda suspicious

I open the letter and it says

*Refreshments will be provided

I said

"So you're going," dad says

"Yea dad and I'll be the only brown girl there" I walked away and smiled

I ran upstairs got to my phone and called my backbone

*RINGS*

"SPENCE!!!" I yelled

"JAYLA!!" He yelled

"Jay guess what happened," he said

"What," I said confused

"I got transferred to your school!" He says

"Dude that's great," I said

"I start school next week," he said

"Oh same," I said

"What you mean jay?" He said confused

"I got suspended for an assault on a girl then fighting the principal daughter" I laugh

"Yea I know right but ill call u back there's a random number calling," I said

"Hello," I said

"Yea wassup," the boy said

"Uhm who is this," I said slightly raising my voice
