So I finished it early and decided to publish it now and am thinking about updating again on Saturday or Sunday.

I was very surprised to find myself waking up, I didn't realise I would get any sleep due to the painful howls of the Luna keeping me up all night. Sitting up from my bed I pushed all my whispey bits of hair out of my face and snuggled further into the doona and pillows on my bed, it wasn't cold I never got cold, what was strange to my family who could feel the cold until they shifted into their wolves or wore layers upon layers of clothing during the winter, But not me I could wear shorts and a singlet in the snow with no shoes on and still feel to hot, that's why my brother gave me the nick name ice queen in primary school.

After having a shower and getting dressed into my regular leather clothes, but with the exception of an extra arm band on my upper arm with my packs emblem burned into it. Heading down the hall to the kitchen I could smell the delicious aroma of pork sausages, my mouth began to salivate. Ariving at the kitchen and taking a seat on one of the breakfast bar stools I patiently waited for my breakfast to be served, it wasn't even touching the table yet and I whoofed it all down, my mother stared wide eyed at me and muttered a slight 'ok' before turning around and plating me up another serving of sausages. When she turned back around to give me my second heaping of food I took my time, she smiled and said

"Now I know us wolves have an appetite and we are used to eating like savages in our beast forms, But I will not allow you to eat like a savage in my kitchen young lady"

I just smiled, with my mouth still full of food. My mother chuckled and went back to preparing my family breakfast, speaking of family where is mine, usually when mum is cooking sausages they hang around the kitchen like flies, the only way to get them away is to swat them with the tea-towel. The sound of smashed clay woke me from my train of thought, I whipped my head to the window and stared in horror, their my father and brother stood with my childhood painted pots and a baseball bat. My father threw my flower pot towards my brother, who swung and smashed my 4th grade mothers day present and pretend to hit a home run. I screamed in horror and stormed out of the house in a rage

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING I MADE THOSE IN SCHOOL"

my tone, shocking even myself had the entire neighbourhood sticking their nosy heads out of their windows to see the commotion, looking back to my father and brother who stood rigid and submissive until my father had found enough courage to clear his throat and say in a small voice

"Well they are old and breaking anyways, we didn't think you would mind"

before he turned his head to the crime scene, what showed around 10 pots all in pieces

"Wouldn't think I would mind, I made those with Nanny and Pa when I was 9 of course I mind"

I was getting angrier by the second, my breathing was becoming bigger and more sharp, My teeth were becoming pointed and I felt like I was growing in size all I saw was red. I was getting ready to lunge at my brother, who stood with his baseball bat and with a smirk on his face. Just as I was about to lunge I was pounced on and large teeth were digging into my neck.

"SUBMIT"

was boomed in my head and instantly I knew it was the alpha

I wanted to submit, but something in me wouldn't let me, I didn't have control over my body, I certainly didn't have control over my hands what latched onto both parts of the Alpha's jaws and pried them open, to the point that any further I would rip the top pat of his head off. With my hands still on his jaws I stood up and lifted the 175 lbs (73 Kg) wolf off the ground. All I could hear were whispers of people shouting and screaming in horror, My mind turning them out so I could only focus and hear the sound of my heart beat going a million miles and hour in my chest. I didn't know the Alpha had shifted back until he backhanded me across the face, that just made it worse, I brought him closer to my face, opened my mouth to show him my sharp, elongated fangs and let the biggest roar I have ever heard come from and animal loose. The stopped the shouting and had everyone around me dead silent, the alpha had stopped wriggling in my hands and I finally had control over my body once again. Realising what I had done and what I was doing I dropped the alpha almost immediately.

"OMG I am so sorry Alpha I-I Don't know what came over me o-one minute I was me then I wasn't oh I really am sorry please don't punish me" I begged

I was on my knee's with tears running down my face, terrified of the consequences I could be facing exile or death for this. I almost jumped out of my skin when I felt a hand placed over the top of my head, I looked up and was surprised to see the alpha looking down at me, not In anger but in curiosity.

"Child, I think you, your family and I should have a little talk in my office"

still shocked at not being punished I just nodded my head like a dumb idiot, mouth gaping open, so wide flies could probably fly in.

After I was picked up off the ground by my dad, my family headed to the big white clay building in the middle of town, no-one spoke of what had happened mere minutes before we all just walked as a family, past all the other families who were all whispering and pointing and staring like we were a freak show of traveling freaks. I certainly did feel like a freak, I mean I did before but now even more. Reaching the Alphas house came quicker than I realised, looking up at the looming building like it was the gallows, and I was about to be sentenced to death by hanging like in the olden days. My father gave my shoulders a squeeze, I hadn't even realized his arms were around me but I was wondering what was keeping me up, as without his arms I would be like a cooked noodle, limp and unable to pick itself up. Heading inside the grand house, what I have only done a few times to visit my best friend, I felt like I was being watched, Looking up to the staircase I was taken back to see the entire Alpha family, with the exception of one who I thankful will never see again. Going from face to face I notice a similarity, they all had puffy red eyes and black bags, looks like some people didn't get any sleep last night.

As we walk into the threshold of the Alphas office I get a strange feeling, my head feels light headed and my body tingly, I feel as light as air the same feeling I felt the night receiving my soul. Unbenonst to my family or the Alpha, who seem oblivious to my state of mind what was in La La land at the moment, All I could make out of the conversation was

"Now from the start and with not one detail missed out or any lies, tell me, who are her real parents"

the alpha said in a calm collected voice

before my father could say a word the Beta came bursting through the locked door, taking the solid oak doors off their hinges

"Alpha It's 'them' they are about to cross our boarders from the east, by the looks of it there is 5 or 6 and they seem to be carrying large packs on their sides"

the beta could barely make out as he was out of breath

this alarming news made the Alpha stand up immediately from his chair

"WHAT but tax collection isn't for a few months, wait were 'they' with them?"

the alpha asked the beta in a stern worried voice

the beta shook his head, still panting and bending over onto one knee to catch his breath

"Not that the scouts could see, they are so fast it was a miracle we could estimate their numbers"

the alpha stood still and silent, he looked like he was debating something in his head before his eyes clicked into alpha mode

"Beta prepare all the hunters to go house to house to collect all dried meat, then call and assembly of the pack in the main hall in 10 minutes to meet our guests in the courtyard, GO MAN GO" he bellowed, sending the beta off in a sprint to complete his task. Before my father could even say anything the alpha was off just as quick as the beta. I turned to my father who just stared in puzzlement at the door, before he turned around again and told my family and I

"Ok, I guess we just head to the main hall?" he questioned

then we all headed together as a family to the great hall to meet out guests. Little did I know these "guests" were about to change my life.
