Prince! Ai x Syo Part 1

A/N- I am back with another update everyone! Sorry it took so long, but I am very busy with graduation soon. I will no longer be able to be a high schooler and I won't have this chromebook anymore. I will have to see if I can boot up my laptop and get rid of the viruses on it that I don't know how it got on in the first place! Enough about that, it is time to get this story on the road with!

"Off with his head."

"B-But your majesty!"

"You heard me, off with his head. Anyone who defies me don't have the right to live." A cyan haired male said as his cold eyes look at a man that was being held by one of his guards. This man went against his orders and did something he never should have. Anything that harms the royal family should be put to death. That was always his mind set.

The man was taken away and the only thing heard was his cries and his pleas for forgiveness. Ai was never the kind ruler he claimed to be, well that's how the people saw him. But his closest retainers knew to well of how kind he can be. The truth is, they knew how lonely prince Ai was. His parents died a little while ago after the war against his country and anothers. No one had hope then, but they didn't know about him or his brother. His brother, Aine, was identical to him, but taller, so because of age, his brother became king while he remained as a prince. Ai had no problem with this as he didn't wish to rule such people who only thought of themselves. Well it was like that, but his brother wanted him to rule as well, so he let Ai call the shots on most things and Ai went along with it, biting his tongue.

"You are too harsh on these people Ai."

"Well then, you shouldn't have asked me to take the lead. These people are selfish and you know it. Only thinking of themselves, it won't get them far."

"That is what makes us human Ai. We hold different emotions like greed, happiness, and love. Those people aren't greedy for themselves, they are greedy for others. You just miss past that point."

"You make it sound like i'm not human Aine. I am human, but sorry for not having any emotions." That struck the older brother hard. He knew very well that Ai has lost his emotions whenever their parents died. He was very young when it happened and after that, he seemed like a walking statue. He doesn't express anything and Aine knew why. His little brother is afraid to get attached again, afraid that someone close to him was going to die again. This was what this front of his was. He put it up in order to not get close to anyone again and he started taking things too hard. That man does not need executing.

"Ai, why don't we go out for a little bit to get some fresh air?" Ai stopped at that suggestion. Usually his brother says it's dangerous to be out in the open. Of course they will be hidden, but even then he doesn't like them going outside of the castle walls.

"Are you sure? You don't like when we are out there."

"I am serious. It looks like you could need a little break. We'll take our horses out and Reiji will watch over us." He was talking about one of the retainers. Reiji was one of Ai's closest retainers, even though Ai tries not to get close to him, it is pretty hard to escape the fool. That is why Aine chose him as Ai's retainer. Ranmaru was the other one. He was very mean at times, but he means well, Aine chose good.

"Fine, if that is what you want."

"Great! I will get Reiji, you get the horses ready!" Then Aine left to get the fool that he seemed to like very much. 'It wouldn't surprise me if those two got together eventually. Is that even okay for them? Usually law says that you can only marry someone of royalty and not a commoner let alone a retainer from the castle.' Ai thought as he went to get the horses from their stables.
