chapter 16

Jake's POV.

~time lapse 3 weeks~

it's been three weeks since the full moon incident, and everyone is suffering. Andy was released two weeks ago and hasn't left Ashley's side since. 

the doctor gave him meds, so in case his beast goes crazy again he can take them to calm him down. the test results came back and they said everything looked OK. but earlier this week the nurse went to check his heart and something was off so they are doing some more test on him.

jinxx i would say is suffering alot to. he went through this once already and i can tell he is barley holding on. he doesn't talk much and when he's not at the hospital, he is locked away in his room. everybody's worried about him.

but we know jinxx will be OK. Andy on the other hand.....not so much. he has begged cc to kill him. he cant stand to look at him self in the mirror. he hasn't hunt in a week. 

he can even look at Ashley without breaking down. he wont touch Ashley or be that close. he sits in a chair on the other side of the room.

we all take turns watching Ashley and Andy. right now its my turn, i look at Andy. he hasn't slept in days so he has bags under his eyes. his blue eyes are now a dull grey. i just wish there was something i could do.

"Andy you need to sleep" i say for probably the hundredth time.

"i cant Jake every time i go to sleep i see and hear Ashley screaming, and i cant take it" Andy said i could see the tears flowing down his face.

"Andy just take some of the pills and try and get some sleep and who knows when you wake up Ashley might be awake. do it for him" i say patting him on the back.

he lets out a sigh and takes two of his pills and lays down on the mini couch in the room. once he is asleep i wake out and call jinxx.

"hello" jinxx says.

"hey, i finally got Andy to sleep. how are you holding up?" i asked 

"I'm doing fine i just hope Ashley wakes up because if he doesn't i don't know what ill do." jinxx said 

i felt bad for him. who wouldn't but all i could do was be here for him and that can make a difference.

"well jinxx if you need anyone to talk to I'm here OK?" i asked 

"yea i know thanks" and with that he hung up.

i slid my phone back into my pocket and was about to tell cc it was his turn to keep an eye on Ashley and Andy when the doctor stopped me.

"hello Jake how are you?" the doctor asked that we learned name was Dr.little

"good as i can be at the time i guess how about you? any news on Ashley?" i asked waiting for the same answer we always got.

"I'm doing good thanks for asking, oh and that's what i came here to talk to you about. i need you to gather all Ashley's friends and tell them to meet me in Ashley's room." Dr. little said.

i nodded and walked away. might as well catch you guys up Ashley's and Andy's parents went to new York for a few months while Juliet is watching Ashley's little sister Hannah. we told Ashley's parents Ashley got hurt and was in the hospital and that he was OK so that they wouldn't worry.

i made my way to the lobby. we cc saw me he got up.

"hey i need you to text the girls and tell them to meet us in Ashley's room ill text jinxx." i said .

cc nodded and took out his phone while i text-ed jinxx.

about 10 minutes later we were all here and making our way to Ashley's room. we all walked in being very quite since Andy was still sleeping. Juliet went over and shook him awake so he could hear what the doctor had to say.

"so what do you have about Ashley?" sammi asked.

"well, the test results are in from earlier this week" Dr. little paused looking at all of us.

"well, what do they say?" Lauren asked holding on to Hannah hand.

"well it turns out the reason for the heart beat sound weird is that Mr.Ashley here is pregnant" the doctor said with a smile.

everyone in the room stopped and looked at Andy. his mouth was open and his eyes where wide and for a minute there i thought i saw them go back the the bright happy full of life blue they always were. but then they faded back to the dull grey when he turned and looked at Ashley.

"do you know when he might wake up?" Andy asked 

"we still don't know about that, but we are still looking into that." the doctor said looking at Andy.

"i will let you guys have some time alone to talk" with that Dr.little left.

after a very long minute. Hannah walked up to Andy and sat on his lap.

"are you OK Andy?" Hannah asked 

he nodded. giving Hannah a small smile. Hannah smiled back before looking down. then her head snapped back up and looked at Ashley then at Andy.

"i have an idea."Hannah said trailing off.

we all looked at her.

"what is it honey?" Juliet asked.

"well....maybe if Andy talked to Ashley or held his hand Ashley might wake up.....maybe that's what Ashley needs....he needs his mate.."Hannah said looking at Andy.

wow those words had everyone on the verge of tears. Andy looked at Hannah and gave her a smile but didn't move from the small couch.

"Hannah, I'm not sure that will work kiddo" i said shaking my head.

"well its worth a shot right?" she asked.

kid had a point. we had nothing to lose. why not give it a shot. we all looked at Andy, all of a sudden he busted out laughing.

"yeah, OK will give it a shot, but don't be to upset when it doesn't work." Andy said once he calmed down.

Juliet took Hannah from Andy while and grabbed a chair and sat beside Ashley. Andy took a deep breath. and slowly grabbed Ashley's hand. it was the first time in weeks Andy was this close to Ashley. he looked at Ashley and brought Ashley's hand to his lips and kissed it.

"I'm sorry Ashley, for everything. i shouldve fought harder. or not have come home at all....i didn't mean to hurt you i will understand if you decide to leave me...and never talk to me again....but i just wanted you to know...I'm sorry and i love you with a my heart.' Andy's voice broke at the last part.

we all looked at Ashley nothing happen and everyone was in tears. i guess we all had a little hope something would happen. i guess not.

Andy's POV.

i sat there crying. i just wish he would wake up. i dried my eyes and face. i got real close to him and whispered 'i love you'. and slowly put a sweet kiss and his lips. when i pulled away. i was about to let go of his hand when his heart monitor. went crazy. everyone stopped. 

his heart had picked up speed and i was freaking out. i was about to let go of his hand again when i felt his hand gripped mine tighter.

And a voice the was just above a whisper said.

"Andy, please don't go.."
