I woke up to the sound of sirens banging at my window. Lights fading in and out. Sounds of thunder echo through the house as policemen rush in.
What's going on? What's happening?
I sit in the tangled sheets, looking around me, nothing gives any hint so I get up and pull on some sweatpants.
"Who else is here? Look in all the rooms. Wake their kids up and get them out of here." A deep, rough edged voice rang through the cracks between door and door frame. This being followed by a loud knock and turning of the door handle. My eyes met with an older man's.
"Pack some clothes and come to the living room." He demanded.
"Who are you? What's going on?"
"I'll explain in a bit. Just do as I say and get down there quickly."
"But, where is my da-"
"Please stop asking questions. I'll answer them soon. Hurry it up."
But.. oh, fine.
