Persephone's eyes brimmed with tears as the doors shut. This can't be happening...please.
In despair, she prayed to her mother, "Mother, please hear me! I've been captured by Hades, and he wishes for me to be his wife; I am not yet ready. This is father's doing. Bring me to justice, find me. Please mother...there's no way out of this place..." she begged. She then buried her head in the furs and wept.

She stepped down into the canoe gracefully and instructed the servant to row. The boy rowed with no effort, no labor harms the innocent in the Underworld. She looked down at the glimmering blue river and watched as the souls of mortals flowed with the current. Looking down at their faces pained her at first, but it didn't hurt her now. She had changed, her life had changed.
Her mother was still angry at Hades for abducting her, years later, but Persephone didn't care. She had been long awaiting November anxiously this year, it felt like eons since she last saw her husband. As the dock neared, she noticed that Thanatos was waiting for her. The dark winged man with the cloth wrapped around his eyes sensed her presence. She smiled at the familiar face that she hadn't seen in so long. The boat came to a stop, and the boy reached his hand out for Persephone to use as leverage.
"Thank you," she said. The boy simply nodded and rowed away. The dark winged angel bowed deeply towards her.
"My Queen," he said. She raised her eyebrow and gave him a half smile.
"Thanatos.." she warned playfully. She hated being called 'My Queen'The winged man gave her a mischievous smile and chuckled.
"Sorry Seph, I just can't help not messing with you a little bit." he laughed. She smiled at her friend.
"Good to see you, old friend." Persephone said.
"You too," he responded. They walked together down a set of stairs and caught up with each other.
"So," Persephone asked, "How's my husband been this summer?"
Thanatos breathed in a somber sigh and exhaled. Worry creased his face. "Not well, I'm afraid."
Fear grasped her, and her chest felt tight at the thought of her husband being unwell.
Thanatos continued, "The amount of deaths have been high this summer, with the famine and all, and unfortunately, Zeus has gotten angry with him for not having enough space for all the souls. You should see him Seph, I've never seen him so upset. He refuses to eat and sleep, all he does is work. It's a good thing that you've returned though, I can't remember a time where you weren't able to help him. November didn't come soon enough."
