"Hey," I hear Mason say as he sees me.
I wave as he gives me a hug.
"Hungry?" I ask him.
"Always," Mason responds as we go to the restaurant he told me about.
Which was a cute burger joint literally down the street from the school called Big Juicy. I can't help but laugh at the name.
"So what do you recommend?" I ask Mason.
"The bacon burger is good," Mason responds.
"Then I'll get that," I tell him.
Mason smiles as he orders for us then we wait at the table.
"So how are you adjusting to everything?" Mason asks.
"I'm slowly getting there. Spencer making my room the way it is at home with my Uncle helped," I imply.
"You miss him?" Mason asks.
"So much. It's hard not seeing him everyday, but I know he's out there doing what he can to get us back on our feet," I tell him.
"What happen with your parents if you don't mind me asking?" Mason asks.
"I don't mind, but there's not much to say. I was at least two months old when they left me. My uncle was over and they asked him to put me down for bed as they cleaned up. When my Uncle went down they were gone with a note saying that they didn't want me," I respond as I feel myself tear up a little.
"Hey," Mason says as he gives me a hug. "Well they are stupid."
"It's okay. Plus growing up with my uncle and cousin Dylan was all I needed," I reply.
"Oh where is he?" Mason asks.
"I don't know. Last I heard his team was stationed in Afghanistan, but I haven't heard anything else," I tell him.
"Does he know you're here?" Mason asks.
I nod. "He won't be back for a while."
"Mason!" I hear the cashier say.
"I got it," Mason says as he comes back with our burgers.
I grab mine along with shake and fries. Removing the lid so I can dip my fries.
"Your those people?" Mason asks shocked.
"Try it. It's good," I tell him.
Mason smirks as he tries it and I see him melt as he takes a bite.
I laugh.
"Wow, I've been missing out," Mason says.
"You sure have," I say as I throw a fry at him.
"Hey!" Mason yells as he hits my nose with his straw getting shake on it.
"Mason!" I squeal.
We both just laughed.
"Hey Mason," I hear a girl say as she and her friends walk passed us.
"Someone is popular with the girls," I say.
"Jealous?" Mason asks.
"Umm no I'm good," I reply as I continue eating.
"Sure?" Mason questions.
I smirk as I hit him with whip cream from the shake.
"That's it," Mason says.
I stand up and run. Trying to avoid Mason where I ended up at open grass tree area in front of the Big Juicy.
