Friday.  My favorite day.  The day that declares that I don’t have to return to the school for another two days, and yet I’m still sad.  I’m sad because of Sundays, and the rest of the damn week.

“Hey look!  It’s Gayson!  Hey Gayson!  You ready to bang some guys tonight!” Brock laughed.  As I approached my locker, it was covered in so much red marker that it was probably impossible to remove.  So, I gave up and went on with my busisness.  All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I feel a sharp pain on my head.  I grab my head in pain and wince, as I’m shoved against my locker.  Brock grabs my shirt again, picks me up and throws me to the ground.

“I said to stay away from my brother you fricken gay!”

“I- I was only tutoring him.  He said he needed help.”

“My brother doesn’t need your help!”

Painfully, I stood up, and as a crowd started to form.

Brock laughed, “You’re not even human.  You’re not normal either.  You’re a disgusting fag, and should go throw yourself off of a cliff.” He spat on me, and laughed; so did everyone else.  I wanted to kill myself.  I might as well do what they want.  Being dead is better than having to go through this.  And all because I’m gay.  What a life.

Tears well up in my eyes, and all I can hear is laughter.  I can barely see, but I can feel my head and lip bleeding.  Suddenly, I feel soft lips firmly press against mine.  The scent of whoever was kissing me was familiar, and the way he held my neck, his hands were familiar too.  He deepened the kiss, and I stood there, eyes shut, mind boggled.  Everyone was silent, including Brock.  He pulled back and I opened my eyes, to see Eli standing there, wiping his lip.

I look around and everyone is gawking at what Eli had just done.  Brock was totally surprised.  Eli quickly wraps his arms around me from behind, and smiles.

               “Wanna hang out later?”

I don’t know if I’m hallucinating from hitting my head against the locker, or if I’m still dreaming.  Maybe I’m dead.

“Hey, you okay? Awww.  Surprised?  You’re too cute.” He chuckles.  “I’ll come by after school.”  He winks and kisses me on the cheek.  As he walked away, not the slightest amount of embarrasment or regret on his face, Brock turned to me, grimaced, and walked away.  The crowd followed, and I stood there, smiling like a goofball.

The rest of the day was heaven.  No one made fun of me, or gave me funny looks.  It was an amazing feeling.

The last bell rang, and I headed to my locker, with no problem.  After getting my books, I closed my locker door, and was immediately greeted with a kiss from Eli.
