"Hey, so when am I gonna get my own weapon?" Cassie asks "well, you have improved...I don't know, maybe soon." Hiro replies, smiling. About a week has past since her first day of training and she has already grown so much. The training continued though. For hours a day she and Hiro would spar, her slashes getting faster and cutting deeper. Today was different today than most days, because today she started elemental training. To be an elemental wizard was nothing out of the ordinary, and for a rouge to use poison in weapons is common, but what she was doing was different. The classified 'elemental assassin' was a rouge type that focused on using energy from the person to apply buffs on weapons as well as status affects. It would be near impossible for any human at all to become an elemental assassin, because Hiro was the only teacher, and most magic users would rather stick to spells and long distance attacks. "hey papa? why haven't we started training yet?" Cassie ask'd. she had been kicking a rock around bored for about a minute, confused on why Hiro hasn't said go or anything yet. "well, today were going to start doing something different." Hiro pulls out some colored crystals. "these are elemental crystals, and your going to use them as a, catalyst of some sort before you can use your powers. Here, put your hands out." Hiro puts the crystals in Cassie's hands. they were four colors; yellow, green, red, and blue. Cassie starts to move them around in her hand, as if they were some kind of stress stones. "So what do they do papa?" she asks. Hiro smiled, "I'm glad you asked. you see, you have a very unique power, and these stones can help you wield your powers. the yellow one will apply paralysis to the enemy's you attack, while the green one applies poison." Cassie still looks confused. "what about the red and blue ones?" Hiro gave them a glance and closed his eyes. "those ones are special, but a bit more dangerous. the red one will cause your weapon to catch fire, whilst blue causes water to leave an cut in the air, practically allowing for one attack to hit twice, with the exception of dealing water damage on the second hit." Hiro started to get excited, his face turning red with excitement. "Ok well lets start! Go grab the training dagger!" Cassie looked up at Hiro and giggled "Papa, I've been holding it the entire time!" Hiro looks down in her right hand, and sure enough, the dagger was already in her hand. Slightly embarrassed, Hiro sits down and pats the grass in front of him, indicating her to sit down. As Cassie sits down, she looks up to Hiro, then at the ground. "this training is all about magic, so you have to be calm, ok?" Cassie nods in acception. "you have to feel magic, and it may actually feel like nothing at first, but when you get the hang of it, you wont need to think to switch or activate your magic. Now take in a deep breath" Cassie did as told and took a deep breath. "now you will sit with your eyes closed, think about only water. This might take a while to learn so its ok if you don't get it today." Cassie, holding the dagger in her right hand and the stones in the left, closed her eyes. As the minutes passed by, nothing except the weather seemed to have changed. It looked as if it was going to rain soon, but no moister could be felt in the air. A few more minutes passed, and the clouds looked as if they could pop at any second. Hiro looked down at Cassie, and his eyes widened. The blue stone in her hand was glowing, and she had a sort of, uncomfortable look on her face. Hiro, frightened, knew what this meant. trembling, Hiro speaks, "hey C-cassie? do you need to pee?" all that thinking of water and no bathroom breaks must have gotten to her. She opens her eyes gasping for breath, dropping everything and running inside. A drip of water falls on Hiro's shoulder. Looking down, the blue stone had stopped glowing. Slowly looking back up, gallons of water that fall from the cloud bombard hiro, soaking him. Hiro, slightly uncomfortable, but also proud, walks inside to dry off. "sorry papa..." she says, disappointed in herself. patting his face with a rag, hiro turns toward her "its ok cassie, but please go to the bathroom before training from now on." Hiro sits down in his chair, exhausted, and still slightly wet. Cassie was pacing around the house, looking at the pictures and wanted posters of her father and her. she new he was a good guy, but she could never understand why their was a wanted sign of her father in the house. Cassie stop'd abruptly in front of the window. She had the look of confusion and fear on her face. "p-papa...someone got through the fog." Hiro's eyes widened. "Cassie, are you sure? the fog is here to protect us, it wouldn't let just anyone in here." Cassie nodded and backed away from the window "he looks hurt..." Cassie whispers to herself. Hiro, reaching underneath his chair, grabbed a sword with a leather strapped sheath, And walked outside. Cassie had never seen Hiro grab his sword before, she had only heard about it in the story's he told. And nobody has been able to get inside the fog except for Hiro, that cassie knows. It got dark. Storm clouds covered the sky for as far as the eye could see. A soldier, crawling with a trail of blood leading into the fog, looked up at hiro with hopeful eyes. "Master Hiro!" he yelled, gasping for air. Hiro runs to the man. "how do you know my name?" Hiro asks. "Are you kidding? your a legend! but nows not th-" the man shriks with pain. "now's, not the time" both of his legs seemed to be broken, along with a wound to the chest. In his condition he should have been dead by now. "I came in search of a new tale, so please help me! the kingdom has been taken over by a new emperor, and he has run everything into chaos! dragur and wizards attack the villages daily!" Hiro, looks down on the wounded soldier. "whats in it for me? I left the kingdom years ago, so I have no reason to defend it. Sorry if you were searching for me, but go back, i'm only a legend." Hiro's eyes grew dark as he drew his sword. "this is to protect Cassie...this is of no importance right now" hiro thought to himself. Hiro no longer looked like himself, but a shadowy figure that was once him. "GO!" the man couldn't move anymore. he had used up to much energy to get to Hiro in the first place. "please! don't kill me!" the soldier wept. "I have a wife! and daughter!" But even though that had been said, hiro didn't hear it. in fact, nobody heard it. Hiro had stabbed the man through the chest as he begged for mercy. "now leave..." Hiro threw the body, as it vanished into the fog.
