After their moment of bliss, Loke and Lucy had begun to actually talk about themselves with each other. Lucy remained in her position; sitting in her spirit's lap, her legs hung over one of his as her head leaned back on the arm of the chair. Loke held one arm behind his neck, like a pillow, while the other held Lucy's hand from across her stomach. Neither had minded their cuddly position, but in fact, embraced it.
They spent the past few hours actually getting to know each other and playing around. Lucy twiddled with one of the ring's on Loke's finger as they held hands, looking straight into his eyes without fear. She wasn't afraid of falling in love with him anymore, however... she was afraid of being tickled.
"Loke! Stop it, I... SWEAR!" She managed to say through her giggles. She was struggling against him, but things weren't looking to bright for her, considering he was now towering over top of her.
"Go on, say it!" He laughed along with Lucy. She finally stopped struggling as he pinned her down on the couch. "Just say it once and I'll let you go~"
Lucy knew she had no way out of this. He was stronger than her and she couldn't pull out of his grip. "Alright, alright! Fine!" She growled, "you're cute."
With a newly formed smirk, Loke did as promised and let her go. He released Lucy's hands and sat beside her on the couch instead. She pouted and crossed her arms, turning away from him.
"Come on babe, that wasn't so bad, was it?" He nudged her.
The blonde couldn't help but smile. "Whatever. Are we going to the guild, or not?" She quickly tried to change the subject, stealing the glasses from Loke's face.
"Hey!" The boy attempted to snatch the glasses back, but failed. He watched Lucy place them on herself and purse her lips, making a silly face. A stupid smile appeared on his own as a pink tint consumed his cheeks. "You're so damn cute."
"That doesn't answer my question." She reminded, taking the glasses off and slowly putting them back on the spirit, careful not to poke him in the eye.
He adjusted the accessory and groaned, pulling the girl back into his lap. "Do we really have to? I wanted to keep cuddling..."
Lucy rolled her eyes. "We both know you have more than cuddling in mind, but that's not important right now. I need money and I haven't even been to the guild for a week, so we need to go. Now."
"Not right now, hm...? Just tell me when you're ready then, cause I'm ready for you anytime~" Loke purred. "Can I at least have one more kiss before we go?" He pleaded with a sweet innocence in his tone that she almost couldn't refuse.
Lucy's eyes were wide, but not surprised. "After that perverted comment, no. You've been keeping me from work long enough." She pulled him off the couch by the arm and dragged him towards the door.
"Pfft," Loke sniggered. "Don't pretend you weren't having fun with me today, Lucy. That pretty smile doesn't lie." He followed her out the door, smirking as he noticed she was avoiding eye contact.
Red-faced, Lucy ignored the statement and walked out of the building, the lion spirit still following close behind. They walked inside the guildhall together and everybody practically threw themselves at the blonde mage. She wasn't surprised; she did mention she hadn't been there for a whole week.
"Lucy! You're back!" Lisanna giggled as she clung to the girl with small tears in her eyes.
"Hey, she's back!" Gray called out to the rest of Team Natsu.
